Start stuffing the all star ballots for good players. The voting is shitty this year and great players are being ignored. I don't want to see nine assorted Red Sox/Yanks playing for the AL. Negate the idiocy!

my votes:

AL
1b-Richie Sexson
2b-Brian Roberts
SS-Tejada
3b-ERod
OF-Ichiro, Sheffield, Manny (even though he's hitting like crap)
C-Varitek
DH-Ortiz

NL
1B-Derrek Lee
2b-Kent
SS-Cesar Izturis
3b-David Wright
OF-Bobby Abreu, MIlton Bradley, Miguel Cabrera
C-Ramon Hernandez
DH-Carlos Delgado (don't get to vote for it, but since its an AL park, there will be an NL DH, right?)

and they don't let you vote for pitchers, but if they did i'd take Garland and Dontrelle Willis.

I don't want to say anything -- I mean, read my username! -- but look at my avatar, look at the scoreboard, look at the won-loss record over the last month-plus...and pass me a beer. :)

I'm sorry I have to inform you that the Cubs are about to sweep 4 games from the Padres in their backyard.

AL:

1b: Teixeira
2b: Roberts (grr)
3b: A-Rod
SS: Tejada
OF: Sheff, Damon, Manny (man, it's been a bad year in the AL for OF when you think about it)
c: Varitech
DH: Papi, though really are there more than 1 or 2 notable DH's around?

NL:
1b: Pujols
2b: Kent, I may be wrong in thinking Barmes still has better numbers but he's -1 for Coors effect
3b: Glaus
ss: Furcal
OF: Cabrera, Abreu, Carlos Lee
C: Hernandez
DH: Derrek Lee

Waaaaaaahhh?

HAHAHAHHAHAAAAA!

Ha.

Lets see if I can remember my votes from the weekend

AL
1B - Hinske
2B - Roberts
3B - A-Rod
SS - Tejada
OF - Ichiro
OF - Ramirez
OF - Matsui
DH - Hillenbrand
C - I think I voted for Zaun, not sure lol

NL
1B - Lee
2B - Kent
3B - Glaus
SS - Barmes
OF - Cabrera
OF - Burrel
OF - Abreu
C - Lo Duca

if the lineup stays the same as it is right now , the AL team is booooooooooring.

Konerko in third for 1B's. pfft.

also, it's Eric Chavez the Chi Sox are apparantly interested in.

My votes...

(It hurts putting in 3 Sox players, but you gotta give'em their due)

AL
1B - Texeira
2B - Roberts
3B - A-Rod
SS - Tejada
OF - Ichiro
OF - Damon
OF - Sheffield
DH - Ortiz
C - Varitek

NL
1B - Lee
2B - Grudzielanek
3B - Glaus
SS - Barmes
OF - Cabrera
OF - Brady Clark
OF - Abreu
C - Hernandez
DH - Pujols (Not that Pujols is a slouch at 1B, but Lee's always been solid defensively.)

Pitchers, AL - Garland NL - Willis

I actually think Buehrle deserves it more than Garland. Not only are Buehrle's numbers the same or better than Garland's, Buehrle has to be better because he's usually matched up against the other team's ace, while Garland gets a lot of 4 and 5 starters against him, since he is our fifth man.

toronto sun said wells has been mentioned in talks with nationals and texas rangers. the article also says they speculate the players returned would be brad wilkerson or hank blalock.

other than that no, except riccardi is open to trading minor league talent to get his team over the hump.

A yankee fan giving a Toronto fan news on the Jays from our own papers.....for shame!

I hope we trade some of our prospects for a major league bat this year. We can contend in this division, we just need a little (well, a lot, if you're comparing us to Boston, $200 million Yankees, and Baltimore) more firepower....Wells won't get traded. He's the core of our team and he's just now getting his stroke.

Because I like our SP and what we need is a big HR guy, not a (very old) but great SP that can help us for one year. If we were a proven playoff team, like the Yankees, I'd do it, but we'd have to give up too much.

Guys on the trading block?

Hard to say... Most fans would like Hinske gone, because of his contract and his numbers have been sub par (better than last year though, gotta stay positive) at his position. Of course those two reasons are exactly why he probably won't be traded away, so it's really a non issue.

After reading something like this
One is led to believe Lily is on the "block"

But really..
We've got a team that's doing vastly better than anyone expected, I don't think there are (or should be) many players rumored to be on the trading block.

You guys remember a long time ago, like maybe less than a whole year ago, when Randy Johnson was a dominant pitcher? Those were the days!

Fuckin Brad Halsey's more dominant than the Unit. Brad Motherfucking Halsey. Cashman and his big fucking ugly head had to beg Arizona to take him.

Fuck you George. Fuck you and your fucking lame horse.

George would be the world's worst fantasy baseball owner. He never buys low on talent, and always goes after someone who just had a huge season, prime for a letdown.

NOOOO! Hermanson has given up some runs! :lol I've had him in my league since his 2nd save and I have to admit it was a hell of a ride. Now I have to wonder if his luck has run out completely and maybe I should shop him around before he blows 4 saves in a row and Ozzie shuffles the bullpen again.

Fuck Randy Johnson.

This guy is serving meatballs to the Royals?

I am *so* off the bandwagon right now. I'm thisclose to lusting over Hang 'Em Javy. :lol

Patterson sucks in key hitting situations. 2nd and 3rd with one out and he strikes out. Good job. PUT THE BALL IN PLAY!

Astros with a 2 game winning streak......THE CHAMPIONSHIP RUN HAS BEGUN!

well at the game me and my friend each won 2 free tickets thanks to the white sox's "win a jersey wednesday" promotion. each person entering gets a little scratch off card, and we somehow both were among the 400 winners of two free tickets. good stuff.

walker blew the fucking game for us, plain and simple. ah well. all we gotta do is keep winning 2 outta 3. fine with me.
also, everyone there totally thought Uribe's hit was gonna be a walk off slam, which would have been the best thing i've ever seen.
ah well. still a good time. i got front row tickets for the game on the 15th against the dbacks. gonna be fun.

also, if you haven't seen it:

Not only do I get to watch the Jays struggle mightily at the plate, but I've had a wonderful performance by my pitchers to entertain me.
