Ace-stacio pitched the game of his life tonight.

Zeke with a 6IP 2R performance.

nope only 1 run. Qualls gave up the Cairo HR in the 7th. Shouldn't have even been that, Adam made an error on the first play of the game but it was ruled a hit, and of course the Lamb error...Zeke was really impressive.

The boos were MUCH louder than I expected. Every time up to bat and every time a ball was hit his way. Very satisfying.

Best game of the year. Pedro was nasty as I expected, but Astros win again.

Maybe you guys had to be there....but HOLY FUCKING CHUCK NORRIS THAT WAS THE BEST GAME EVER.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WIZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

That's right fuckers. WIZOO. The new word which sums this game up.

First off.......last night we had a huge win in extra innings.....coming into tonight's game our chances were slim.

Some key points, since I'm still riding the high.

- We tied the game off of K Rod in the 9th.

- We WON THE GAME IN THE 18th off of his boyfriend Shields in the 18th! The fucking 18th! Longest game in Jays history, and the longest of the season. Insane!!!!! I'm amazed how many people stuck around for the entire thing. It was unbelievable.

- 4 hours and 50 minutes
-17th inning stretch...

-Geddy Lee was in the house (for shinobi)

-Wooooo

-Most of our closers were wearing rally caps after they had pitched (caps worn inside out) it was hilarious

-Gregg Zaun is amazing. He made a great defensive play, pitched 18 perfect innings, and showed such emotion after big outs. You gotta love the guy!

- The two best games of the season, back to back at home!? who would have thought that? If I sold my ticket to tonight's game I might have shot myself in the throat.

We swept the Angels and are now ahead of the HorribO's. This 3 team race has a new contestant. Hopefully we'll keep it up and get some media attention and fans back to the ballpark.

Looks like the White Sox are going after Aubrey Huff. That would be a pretty big pickup for them. I wonder if Crede would be included in the trade.

oh man i'd totally take huff. he's having a down year, sure, but shit, even with his recent little streak, crede still can't hit.

i'd also love to get furcal, but that won't happen. we can't have our shortstop hitting .230
at least when valentin hit .230 he hit around 30 homers every year. uribe just stinks.

Hmm, I never watched Jays in an Hour, how are they going to fit a 5hour game in 1 hour, with commerical breaks? :/

Edit: They went from 1st inning to 8th. :lol *sigh*

Cardiac Cubs pull off another bottom of the 9th win today! Down 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th score 2 runs to win! They gotta start blowing teams out again I can't take all these close games! :lol

Yeah I can't remember the last time we had a blow out. Prior really needs to work on his pitching when he gets an 0-2 count, don't know why he struggles with that.

Haha, Steve Stone on PTI talking about Manny Ramirez and Bill Muller to the Cubs for Aramis Ramirez/Sergio Mitre/Corey Patterson/ and another player. There is no merit to this one, he was merely suggesting it. Cubs fans, would you make this deal?

No MANRAM for ARAM.

NO.

Dusty should have pulled Prior after the 7th inning. He was starting to lose steam and had 111 pitches through 7. I know our bullpen sucks but so does a worn out Prior. It showed in the 8th. Thankfully our pen stepped up and shut down the diamondbacks. That is a bigger shocker to me!

Sucks about Frank Thomas. Dude is an AWESOME offensive player, but is always freakin hurt.

:lol His nickname is the Big Hurt afterall.

With the Sunday 4 p.m. ET trade deadline fast approaching, the defending champion Boston Red Sox could be on the verge of making another blockbuster deal for the second year in a row.

ESPN.com's Jayson Stark and ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney have learned there are ongoing talks for a possible three-way trade that would send Red Sox outfielder Manny Ramirez to the Mets, who would also acquire closer Danys Baez from the Devil Rays.

The other components of the deal would see the Red Sox acquiring outfielder/designated hitter Aubrey Huff and outfielder Mike Cameron, and the Devil Rays getting two prospects apiece from the Mets and Red Sox.

i wouldn't trade manny, but the red sox make out real well in that deal

News
Twins center fielder Torii Hunter left Friday's game against the Red Sox in the first inning with an apparent ankle injury.

Views
Hunter hurt his left ankle while scaling the wall by the bullpen in center field. He stayed down for over five minutes and had to leave in a golf cart because he couldn't put any weight on his ankle. The injury appeared to be serious and may cost him a large chuck of time. Former Red Sox farmhand Lew Ford took over in center.

:lol :lol :lol good. fuck that prick

What makes Hunter a prick?

Astros have the Wildcard lead. 56-47...last year we were 56-60 before we went on our run. crazy.

Your team is peaking too early. Cubs have yet to go on their 30 game win streak!

the fact that he's always a dick to all the fans in chicago. like, he refuses to sign balls for any of our fans before the game for example.
and then of course there's last year when he totally fucking cheap shotted our catcher at the time(miguel olivo) at the plate. it was a fucking brutal hit. then he refused to apologize ever and said it was "part of the game." he didn't even call olivo personally to apologize.
he's just an all around douche from what i've seen.

The NL West is officially the most pathetic division in baseball!

Padres 51 52 .495 -
Diamondbacks 50 55 .476 2.0
Dodgers 47 56 .456 4.0
Giants 45 57 .441 5.5

Damn Giants 12 games under .500 and only 5.5 games out of first!

:lol at David Ortiz being all serious and pissed about the fans reaction to Manram while 50 cent is playing in the background.

"How you gonna be "get to lickin it, just a lil' bit" crazy like dat?"

ARghhhh Jays lose! Fifty smash!! That game stunk. I would have preferred we got blown out, because then after a while it would have been funny. Stinking up like that was no fun. Hopefully we win the next two....I won't be able to attend them to I'm sending my good vibes to the rogers centre.

GODDAMNIT METS, YOU BETTER GET MANRAM! Goddamnit if you don't get Manny OR Soriano, the Mets oughtta just move to California.

And for you Mets fans that hate giving up your prospects.... goddamnit, how long are you gonna use that argument?!

Pedro, Manny, and Doug Meinkeyvich..... Do it!

He epitomizes greedy America

Welcome to a new realization
All across the Astros Nation
FUCK him we will be okay
We'll dance with the ones that brung us
And curse the agent Scott Boras
It's enough to make you...

The whole city stayed up 'til eleven
Thinkin' Carlos would bring us to Heaven
Instead he bent us over like a punk in prison
Without the courtesy of a reach-around.

Welcome to a new realization
All across the Astros Nation

We'll dance with the ones that brung us
And curse the agent Scott Boras

HURL!

Beltran turned out to be an idiot
To win without that Judas will be a little sweeter
Only one killer B committed treason
Clemens come back for one more season

Welcome to my vision of elation
It's a brand new Astros Nation
Don't worry everything's okay
The B's have been there from the beginning
They always find a way to come up winning
Scott Boras is the anti.....Christ!

I don't care how great a bat Manny may bring to the Amazins, its not worth giving up those two prospects. This is the whole reason why the Mets never make progress. Their farm system is starting to look damn good and then they want to give up two of their best prospects who are about 1-2 years away? Fuck no!!! No way woukd I do that, its just wrong.

Besides the Mets need to ask themselves this. Even with Manny,do we have enough to beat the Braves should they meet in the playoffs. If they can't confidently say yes then this trade is just stupid. They need to go woth their farm and not fuck up a long term plan. Go with your young talant and not morgage them for an outside shot at a wild card birth, its not worth it when you have Petite and Milledge coming in another year or two. The 1986 Mets won with their farm and a few great veterans that held the fort:) These Mets should go with the same plan damnit.

I think Manny is one hell of a player, but those two prospects the Mets are willing to give up have such a high celeing that you just don't pull a trade like this, not when you have the Braves more than likely kicking our asses if we were to get into the playoffs. Manny is still not enough to overcome the Braves. There are holes at first base and the bullpen that need addressing. Such as the Mets maybe trading for a Sean Casey, just as long as the deal wouldn't be some absurd bullshit multi package top of the line prospects like the Devil Rays are asking of the Mets in the 3 way Manny trade. Someone contract the damn team already, theyre just fucking evil. I still feel pain when I see Kazmir pitch for them,he belongs in a Mets uniform:(

The trade would have been a piece of shit from the Red Sox' angle as well. Manny Ramirez for two stiffs like Cameron and Huff? Yeah, right. The Devil rays are the ones that would've made out like bandits in this one. FIVE prospects for a shitty relief pitcher (Dannys Baez) and a mediocre outfielder/1B (Aubrey Huff)?

The man on the mound for the Red Sox when the Yankees finished off the greatest choke in sports history is now a Yankee himself. Alan Embree and his 7+ ERA has signed with the Yankees today after clearing waivers. Let's see if you have anything left in the tank, Hombre. Hopefully not. :)

for a giants fan... this division owns

but for the rest of baseball its pretty fucking pathetic lol

Uh what? Cameron and Huff would have been a fantastic addition for the Sux. I am glad the deal did not go through.

Uh, no they wouldn't. Losing the league's leading RBI producer for a couple of mediocre guys does not make the Red Sox a better team. Huff has hit well lately, but he's not Manny. Cameron has a far better glove than Manny, but that's it.

Neither Cameron or Huff can even approach the amount of impact that Ramirez has in this order. Removing Ramirez's bat takes away the Red Sox' incredible one-two punch in the middle of the order. That would seriously downgrade the offensive output from this club. The ONLY value of this trade would have been as a salary dump. This isn't like trading Nomar, who was performing poorly at the time of his deal. This is trading a man that is producing on the field for two guys that are not even half the player he is.

I still think this Manny trade is gonna happen. The GMs set a 12 pm deadline for it to be worked out. The deadline has come and gone, and they're still in lockdown working it out.

Something will come of it.

By the way, I can't believe there are Mets fans who think that trading Mike "Called Strike" Cameron and unproven talent for possibly the best offensive player in the game is a bad move. I swear, some of them won't be happy unless the team is comprised of all minor leaguers.

Maybe you just haven't seen much of the Mets and the D-Rays, but Mike Cameron and Aubrey Huff are two very good players. Of course it's not going to be equal to the leading RBI-man in the AL or whatever you claim, but take into consideration that Cameron is a much better fielder than Manny, and they won't cause as many locker room/front office problems as ManRam. Yeah, there is more to a baseball player than his skills at the plate, FYI.

Seriously downgrading the offensive output!? :lol Last I checked the Red Sux were still a ridiculously good offensive team, with or without Manny... and they still play in Fenway Park, the epitome of a hitters ballpark. You're making a mountain out of a Manny.
