GodzillOWNED. :lol

That was a pretty big meltdown by KRod there. Kinda got screwed on the walk to Sheffield, but he just didn't have it. From the start of the ninth he looked like he was going to screw the pooch.

GODZILLA STRIKES AGAIN! OH MY GODDDD!

Jesus, Embree sucked today! And Gordon is fucking shaky has a dog on crack. But thanks to Giambino and Godzilla, the Yanks pulled it out.

Now all that would make me happier is a Bosox loss tonight and a Manram trade in the mornin!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

WHY THE FUCK DO YOU TRY TO STEAL 3RD WITH NO OUTS AND NO OUTS IN THE INNING WITH THE GAME TIED 2-2? FUCK.

Who told DLEE to go to third with ARAM batting? He got thrown out and on the next pitch ARAM singles. FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

A FUCKIN HOMERUN TO ECKSTEIN! U GOT TO BE SHITTING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn Carrara fucking blows, he hasnt had it all year but Tracy keeps trotting him out there in close games so they can turn into blow-outs. FUCK!

They were right there with the Cards at 5-4 after another horrible start by Lowe. But unfortunately our Manager is slightly retarded, I wouldnt be surprised if Erickson was sent out there had he still been with the team. =(

Talk about pathetic.....we get the bases loaded with 0 out in the first inning....manage to score only 2 runs before striking out twice in a row....and then proceed to not score another run for the next 8 innings!

At least Baltimore lost.. I actually feel kind of sorry for them, since they're in the same situation as us....albeit with a more star-studded lineup. If this two game losing streak turns into a giant funk, I wouldn't mind seeing the O's turn it around.

No I don't. It would never happen.....of course while it'd be an insanely dumb idea for us to throw all of our budget and talent in a trade for manny...It'd certainly be fun watching it unfold. I'm just thinking crazy since we lost two in a row. Honestly I just hope he doesn't go to the Mets.

Oh brother-ESPN reported that Manny and Schilling got into a shoving match before the game. Its like this guy is doing everything to have his butt traded out of town. Stay in Boston Manny, the Mets landing you is not worth giving up two great prospects plus Heilman has been pitching great lately, thery need to keep what good arms they have in their shaky bullpen. And again I ask myself one simple question, one that can give you a clear simple yes or no about doing this trade or not. ,That being-will getting Manny be enough to prevent a thrashing by the Braves should the Mets even make the playoffs,to that question I say hell no. The team still has holes to fill,Many can't play 1st and pitch relief as well,we have serious problems in these two areas.

Stick with the farm, its the best bet. Stop dreaming Minaya, the Mets time is not now,its 3-4 years from now.

What? Manny and Schilling allegedly had an argument back in Tampa that Ortiz broke up. I haven't heard anything about another confrontation between the two tonight. Remy was saying that Manny was out of tonight's lineup because he showed up to the park late. This Mannygate shit is out of control. TRUST NO ONE.

Yeah I think I heard waaay wrong, sorry about that. I listened in again and they make no mention of it. Probably ESPN just speculating but I know I heard it from them about an hour ago. Wouldn't be the first time ESPN has taken wrong info and run with it,heh.

I think Manny kicks ass, just that the Mets are thinking with their dicks instead of their heads. Its just not their time yet.

I'm actually routing for the Astros. The sooner the Mets realize theyre not a legit team to make the playoffs the safer our blue chip prospects will be:)

:lol

According to the Chronicle, a trade for Moyer fell through cause he veto'd it. No official word on who the Astros offered, but it's rumored to be Chris Burke. Either way, it was veto'd.

:lol

I bet Matrix would have LOVED that if the Roster Update on MVP came fast enough.

<DM> Alright Let's go Matrix...
<Matrix> Ok...
<DM> WTF!? WHERE...WHERE'S MOYER?
<Matrix> MWAAHAHAHAHA
<DM> NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
- Matrix throws a 79 MPH fastball
- DM dies

Eh, looks like the Stros are going to return the favor and sweep us now. Man this team is so freaking frustrating. We get a few wins in a row only to lose a few to the f'ng Rockies and then go on to be swept by the Asstros. Being inconsistent drives me nuts. I'm now favoring the trade just to see it shake up the team. I don't like Manny... I never did... actually cheered for the BRAVES in 95, and he always bugged the shit out of me in Boston but I guess I would learn to like him much the same way I learned to like Pedro and Beltran. Something needs to change around here...

Agreed. The team needs a shake-up. And this is Manny, not Soriano. Even the Braves pitchers would shit themselves a little facing him.

At any rate, I don't think it's gonna happen anymore. And MAYBE it's for the best.

It is trade deadline Sunday! What will go down today. Will the baseball world be forever changed?!

NomAH is back on Friday.

See ya Dusty! Steve Stone for manager!

http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp...2&coll=la-headlines-sports&ctrack=1&cset=true

Dusty Baker would like to return to Los Angeles to manage the Dodgers, according to a person close to the Chicago Cub manager.

Baker, who played eight seasons for the Dodgers, is unhappy in Chicago, where he has managed the Cubs for 2 1/2 years, the source said. Baker has 1 1/2 years left on a contract that coincides with current Dodger manager Jim Tracy's, though Tracy could opt out of his contract after this season.

According to the source, "Dusty wants desperately to manage the Dodgers … and [supporters] would love to get a buzz going about Dusty in case the Dodgers were thinking of letting Tracy go at the end of the season.

"He would love the Dodgers to come calling and then hope the Cubs would let him go."

That would be a departure from Baker's previous feelings about the Dodgers.

When he left the organization for San Francisco after the 1983 season, Baker believed he had been betrayed by rumors of drug involvement and once vowed to never work for the Dodgers again.

Presumably, Tracy will manage the Dodgers for at least another season.

While there are signs that Tracy and General Manager Paul DePodesta don't always share common baseball philosophies (Hee-Seop Choi's participation, for one), DePodesta appears satisfied with Tracy's work.

The body of evidence, so far, says Tracy stays through 2006, the end of his two-year extension.

Baker managed the San Francisco Giants for 10 seasons that included three postseason appearances and one World Series.

After the 2002 season, he signed a four-year, $15-million contract to manage the Cubs, and came within a win of the World Series in his first season in Chicago.

Those who know Baker often have put his final job in Arizona, where he would work for Jeff Moorad, his longtime friend and agent who now is a general partner there.

Yeah I heard that on the radio now. Dusty jumping ship to his Dodgers team at the end of the year.

I don't know if I like the move, though. Yeah, Dusty is taking some heat, but he is a good manager overall. Who are we going to hire as manager if Dusty leaves? Some no name loser? The problem this year isn't all Dustys fault. The Cubs need another bat, the starting pitching the team was banking on has been hurt all year, the bullpen is shit. Yet the Cubs are still above .500.

Hmm trade rumor swirling now between the Cubs/Twins/Texans right now. Cubs would get Soriano but give up Rich Hill. I don't know if I want to give Hill up at the moment seeing how he has pitched his first two games! Don't know how the Twins are involved.

Steve Stone is the smartest man in baseball.

Sadly the Cubs are the stupidest team in baseball and they are about to prove it again when they send down Matt Murton and Ronnie Cedeno and keep two worthless pieces of shit like Todd Hollandsworth and Jose Macias because they have more experience. More experienceat being shitty.

:lol

But if Holly isn't in the game he can't strike out in key situations i.e. every at bat! :lol

Ahh the Texans/Twins/Cubs deal is starting to make more sense. The Twins are going to acquire Soriano from the Texans and then trade him to the Cubs for Hill. Who is going to be our 5th starter, then?!

Although will we need pitching with this lineup?

Hairston
Walker
Garciaparra
DLee
Ramirez
Soriano
Beernutz
Barrett
Pitcher

Shit that would officially make the Cubs an AL team in the NL! :lol

WOOOO! BREAKING NEWS!

I just read on the Cubs message board that the entire team has been traded to the NL West! 1st place, baby!

Espn News Reported, that the Cubs were traded to the NL League West for the San Diego Padres.

Cubs now have sole possesion of 1st place. Hendry felt why trade for a big bat when we can trade the whole franchise to the NL west and just take first place.

Good Move by Hendry.

You always pull off the big moves before the deadline, Hendry! This is your masterpiece!

For anyone who cares....which will be none of you. My ex high school teammate Matt Krohe has gotten his ERA down to 2.20 for the Yakima Bears. GO MATT GO

Well they could always bring Wellenmeyer back up as a starter. He's got the best ERA of people who have started game in Iowa.!

apparantly Kenny Williams is still working on getting Baez and Huff for McCarthy and other prospects.

um, yes please.

they're like, what, 1-6 over maddux's last 7 starts before today?

and you can comeback from 3 ru....errr, now it's 4. sorry, it is over now.
