i hate these fucking group of yankees.

until they actually start playing decent again that is...

jays finish dead last and hinske is out for season after breaking his leg while washing his car...GOOD JOB

The Yankee fans take time out of their busy schedule of congratulating themselves on cheering for the most obnoxiously rich team in the history of team sports to bash the Jays?

First faint whiff of fear from the Yankee faithful, and it's only April 11! :D GO JAYS!

Thank god I picked up Hinske a couple of days ago and am currently riding his hot streak. Between him and Batista the Jays I've picked up as FA have been very good to me.

;( Point taken!

It's kinda annoying, and yet so typical, that one of the few Jays games not on TV is an entertaining romp I'd love to be watching. Damn s-net.

Lidge is Scott Williamson jr. Just a question of how much longer he can go before his elbow falls off.

:lol :lol Id take Lidge with a bad elbow over Williamson.

Hey guys, I went to the Jays home opener vs. the Red Sox and I brought my camera with me. Took some footage and edited it together.

Half of the footage is garbage (No tripod), and the other half is okay. And it's all put together very horribly, but whatever. I might have been more inspired had I had more time and better footage (both my fault).

So here ya go guys, a little glimpse at the opening day.
The Toronto Blue Jays Home Opener - 9.5 Megs (2:58)

Things to look out for:

- Johnny Damons arm during BP, he throws like a girl even in practice!
- Horrible HORRIBLE footage of David Ortiz's double...
- TP roll thrown from the Hotel
- The Trailer Park Boys throwing out the first pitch (sped up because it was so long)
- SLASH'S opening anthem

Hey that was cool! I liked the feeling of excitment as the season was beginning and the familiar complaints smart ass remarks of random guys in the crowd. :D

I thought the way you edited it together was pretty neat. Certainly I have no idea how to do that shit, so it was cool to have Slash's anthem going over scenes of the warmups and such. If you were to do stuff like that for other games I'd definitely be interested in watching it. I'm so far away from any MLB team I won't be able to see a baseball game until I move. :\

And you're right about Damon's puss arm. :lol

HOW BOUT THEM BRAVES, MOTHERFUCKERS???

That's right. We remembered how to HIT tonight. Fuck, even Raul Mondesi had two hits. And Mike Hampton is ZEROED IN, ladies and ladies. He's gonna be fuckin people up all season long. Look for Huddy to whip those rotten Nationals asses tomorrow(take that, Willco!).

YANKEE FAN, not yankee fans get it right. it's only seven games into the season anyway.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :lol :lol :lol
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADLEY with the winner!

P.S I think both teams will want to forget all about this game. The pitching was absolutely atrocious on both sides, along with some forgetable fielding.

As much as I hate 'em, I have to give props to an absolutely amazing bunch of comebacks this year by the Dodgers.

It's what we were known for last year.. believe only the Yanks had more come-from-behind victories than us. Nice to see it's carrying over. :D

Yeah but all I remember from last year is the playoff collapse. ;P

Kazmir not looking so great in TB, but he's only allowed one so far and the Os have allowed 3, so if he can settle down he may get the win, but that high-powered Os offense is always ready to go (2 on, no out right now).

Damn I need to get some tickets sooner. My friend brought home one of the new T-Shirts they have on sale at the stadium.

:lol :lol :lol

Just saw the new Dunkin Donuts ad with Johnny Damon and Theo Epstein....dunno if it will be shown nationally, but it is hilarious!

Okay, so what happens if a game gets called on rain in the bottom of the ninth after the visiting team took the lead in the top?

Visiting team gets the win. The only time they make up the game is if it's called before the 5th inning IIRC.

Looks like the Nationals/Braves have started up again in any case, but the game would have been suspended and completed the next day before the series finale. If a game is past the middle of the 5th, and is called due to weather during an inning where the visiting team has tied or taken the lead, it is suspended.

That isn't true. If the visiting team takes the lead and the home team doesn't get its a bats at the bottom of the inning, the game is suspended and resumed from the same point the next day.

Whoops, someone already said that. :lol

Kolb looked awful tonight. I hope it is just a case of him being too well rested and not a sign of things to come. :(

:lol Ichiro won't have 3 HRs before the all star break.

Reds pitcher gave up a bases loaded triple....to the opposing pitcher. ugh

Astros bullpen sucks ass except for Lidge and the Reds whole pitching staff sucks ass all together...good times.

:lol :lol :lol That's ok fellas. We've won 5 times as many World Series as both your teams COMBINED :lol

Edit: oops, I completely forgot the other half of the cubbies championships...they won in 1907 too. Guess that makes it 5-2.

You just had to go and pull the World series card out of your crack...thats cold man.

Also 5 times as many is 0 since 5 times 0 =0,your math is off and dont you dare count 1907/1908,that was before the dawn of man! :P

Hinski 3 run homer. 4-2 jays now :D. I am sooooo glad JP didn't get rid of him.
Can it possibly be that moving from 3rd is just what he needed? Maybe the batting order shuffle when Carlos left or something.... or else he was just much better than his last 2 shitty years would indicate and he can get back to the level of his rookie year. Either way, I hope it's not just a hot streak (obviously he won't be flirting with .400 but I just don't want him to fall back to .240 with minimal pop) and that he's turned it around with the bat.
*crosses fingers*
