Hmm... you all remember when we had a debate a long time ago about Tino versus Giambi?

I basically said that in terms of production, getting rid of Tino and picking up Giambi was going to be a wash? Yeah, Giambi was going to get on base more often primarily because of walks, but in terms of driving in runs there was going to be little difference.

Now who's come back to the Yanks and bailed them out of their horrible situation? They should be kissing Tino's feet daily begging for forgiveness.

edit: Go padres

Any of the Cubs "closers" would be an upgrade over Foulke at this point. He is the anti-Jordan; he makes everyone on the other team better.

Hahaha one guy I know in my Yahoo league has Dotel and Foulke as his closers. I was bugging him before the season started saying how Dotel was shaky and Foulke would be a middle reliever at best except for rep and paycheck. I was mainly just grinding him in the preseason to try to make him trade me one or the other on the cheap but I did think Foulke was a terrible mid-round pick to be your #1 closer and both he and Dotel were very overrated (especially in their Yahoo rankings). Little did I know how right I was, and he just called me up at work swearing at me like it's my fault he drafted them. :lol :lol

I offered him Tino Martinez (FA pickup by me 2 days ago) staight up for either one and said I couldn't possibly give more for either one with their terrible numbers. God he was mad. :D

Normally I would laugh at the Cubs blowing another save just now, but it cost me a fucking W for Prior in fantasy league. Sons of bitches.

Bullpen blown two wins in a row for prior. Pathetic.

Honestly, I don't know how he's going to keep it up, but Dontrelle Willis is a fucking stud. 7-0 with a 1.08 ERA.

The most surprising stat is he has only walked 10 batters in 7 games. He's got a 0.85 WHIP or something silly.

Ugh, the way that 5th inning played out gave me heartburn. Seriously is Tracy actually watching these games? Lately it seems he waits until a bad outing turns into a disaster before pulling the starting pitcher. It's getting pretty rediculous.....ARRRRRRGH! Cant believe they've wasted all 3 opportunities Izturis/Choi have given them.

P.S Drew so far has been a huge fucking letdown. He's really starting to piss me off. =\

Our ineptness at the plate in the 5th was no doubt the turning point in the game. I don't know what to say, it was depressing...

Another day, Another depressing game for Dodgers fans. That 3rd inning was quite disturbing, sucks for Lowe because none of it was his fault. Tracy continues to drive me insane with his decisions. Why they hell did he use D.J. Houlton again, fucker cant get nobody out with his era above 10. Atleast this game was over by the time I got home or else I might have smashed my T.V to pieces.

I also want to know why Tracy decided to give Kent a day off and replace him with a damn rookie whos been in the majors for 2 freaking games. You just don't do that against a team as good as StL. Is it just me though, or do the StL umps seem to give the Dodgers the shaft on every call, I noticed it in this series, and also in NLDS.

I can see where it might seem like they are. Although the Dodgers played some horrible defense overall during the whole series. How many times did Drew/Badley attempt to catch runners trying to score by overthrowing the cutoff man allowing the other runner to continue to 2nd/3rd. D.J Houlton needs to go somewhere other than the Dodgers bullpen :lol. Robles was the only man available to play 2nd because Antonio Perez is still on the D.L. Drew laying another egg of a game certainly made things worse 0-5, 3k's isnt going to cut it. =X

This would have been a great time to make a statement early in the year but instead we drop 3 of 4 and do it in embarrasing fashion. Hell, in 2 of those loses we weren't even competitive.

Frustrating to say the least

Junior's been whippin some ass lately, brought his average to a respectable .280. Highest it's been in years. And Dunn with 2 HRs already. Too bad we're in last :*(

sox take game 1 of 4 from the orioles.

jon garland up to 7-0. 2 runs over 8 innings.

26-9. keep out of the double digits in the loss column boys

Agreed, I'm not even a Reds fan but you guys definetly deserve better than what you have got from ownership.

:lol :lol :lol cubs almost gave up a grand slam to lose the game, we need a fucking closer.

:lol :lol :lol that thing was about two feet short. too bad.

meanwhile, sox come from behind 3-0 and win 5-3.

Buehrle with 8 strong innings, Hermanson with the save. D-Herm has pitched 18.1 innings so far this year and is yet to allow a run. hardcore.

Good job White Sox. Considering the Jays are probably going to lose tonight, it's good not to fall another game behind the O's.

Who was in to close? Latoi?

Reminds me of our victory in st louis where latoi gave up a bomb to dead center field to the warning track.

But we've won 4 of 5 somehow! Lets keep this going!

*me hugs fantasy studs Bradley and Braz*

Best thing is that because my fantasy league values Holds when Braz goes to setup he becomes even more valuable to my team than as a closer (I'm way out in first in saves already, but more holds would be great).

Shame about the Jays game. I was sweating when Lilly wound up for the first pitch and my fears were realized. :P

Remlinger loaded the bases, wellmeyer got the final out

M's offense is back to where it should be. Now if the starting pitching can get back into shape, we may have something here.

damn the White Sox announcers WGN uses are fucking annoying. There's a difference between normal homerism you'd get from the local broadcast team and the White Sox guys, you just don't get that degree of it anywhere else that I've experienced at all.

lol. Gagne getting owned with every batter he pitches to. After the screwup yesterday, looks like the Braves will pull this one out.

Julio Franco stealing a base? Isn't he 80 by now? ;)

Don't look now but Andruw has turned back into the HR mashing monster he was in Spring training. Andruw's stats over his last 15 games:

.442 BA
.517 OBP
.904 SLG
1.421 OPS
6 Home Runs

Carlos Beltran who???? :lol
