2,000th post bitches.

yankees go on a sick tear of wins and are still tied for 3rd :lol

it'd be really amazing if they continue their streak of 100 win seasons.

I hope Kid Wonderful dies on the field tomorrow! Only by death can KW be purged from my avatar.

KW has been great, great luck for the YANKEES!

Go Kid Go, Work Your Wonderful Magic.

Holy Shit @ Silva's performance yesterday.

It was a complete game.

The twins won 7-1.

Silva threw......

74 pitches.

that's 8 and 2/9 pitches per inning.

:O

yeah, D-Herm had me a bit scared at first. Last year the then always reliable Shingo choked against them. I did not want a repeat of that same scenario.

Gotta love it.

fucking blows that Duque is on the DL though. Hopefully this "soreness" doesn't cost him too much time. McCarthy has looked really fucking good though. Just too bad he has to go against Prior =/

Hopefully Duque's only tired like last year. Though I don't think the Sox pulled a Stottlemeyer and made him throw a 199 pitches yet.

Is it too late to call Arizona and ask for Javy and Halsey back? I know Yank haters, we deserve it, we deserve it... :(

Dodgers are a bunch of pathetic assholes! Welcome to mediocrity boys! Shit, This almost makes me think it's no longer a slump but a peak into what the rest of the season will look like. :lol Atleast I had all the fine girls to look at during last nights thrashing, in-between all the scuffles in the stands that is. Glad to see Penny pitch a gem of a game, too bad all the offense could offer him was one measly run. Nice tackle by security guards on that moron that ran onto the field aswell.

You lucky bastard! I can't tell you have envious I am of you, I just want one game at Chavez before I can die a happy man.

Anyways, to the game, we stink!

The question is fast approaching Dodger Fan, do we blow this team up and build for the future? Better question, can we blow this team up based on our offseason moves?

So pretty...just one game before I die

Where are u from?

What's happened to Brazoban, I was hoping the move from closer to setup man wouldnt mess with his head but it appears it has, pretty badly too. Tracy needs to stop with his everybody in the lineup gets a start bullflop and settle it. Our 3rd baseman and Left Fielder's will never play with any consistency as long as Tracy keeps this up. We wouldnt be so bad if our offense wasnt so crappy, starting with J.D Drew. So far Izturis,Bradley and Kent have been the only ones who are actually hitting worth a damn. Choi/Saenz are getting the job done at 1st pretty well so far. Maybe Tracy will stick with Antonio Perez at 3rd base for now atleast.

I live in Oregon, not too far away but "life" seems to keep me from making the trip down. I would love to get a few of my buddies together and head down for a series against the Gnats but....

RC:
I couldn't agree more with everything you said. First, Yancy, for whatever reson, has turned into a mental midget when not in the closer role. Second, I definetly want to see a much more consistent approach to our entire lineup. I think Tracy plays the "percentage" game far too much and it dosen't allow guys to devlop a rhythm at the plate. Third, I've been very impressed with the way Bradely has played this year, definetly my MVP.

Lastly, do you guys (Fifty and RC) go see a lot of games in the year? Also, what is the atmosphere like at the park? I've heard for years how laid back LA sports fan are, is there any truth to that at Chavez?

I'm planning on moving to LA, and the Dodgers have always been my favorite NL team, but I'm a Jays fan, and I live in Toronto.

I try to go to as many games as I can, probably between 20-30. Most of them are watched from the Pavillion seats ($6 A Piece), I would go to more games but I usually dont have a ride. Dodgers fans for the most part used to be laid back, arriving in the 3rd and out the door by the 8th. But the last few years the fans are changing to the more enthusiatic crowd who actually get into the games by arriving early and leaving after the last pitch. Laker fans are another beast all together, talk about Bandwagon. That's probably where most of the laid back fans stuff comes from.

P.S U guys need to make the trip during the Summer season. It's worth it just for all the hotties that attend. <drool> :D

How does one who lives in Toronto become a Dodger fan? Just curious

Well any real fan knows that you can only be a fan of one team :D I'm a Jays fan....I've got season tickets. I just hope that the Dodgers do well every year in the NL. I can't remember exactly why I started liking them in the first place, and I can't say I get sad when they lose...so I must repeat, I'm not a dodgers fan, I just prefer them over every team that's not from Toronto. :)

If I could grab a few days off I would be there in a heart beat. The best I can do for the foreseeable future is the occasionaly game on ESPN, Fox sports game on Saturday, and Gamecast for everything else.

I take the Dodger loses harder than any of my other sports teams. I swear, if they keep on losing I will get an ulcer.

yeah, the chisox are well balanced. and guillen is a blast. what's wrong with el duque anyway? heard he got tired or hurt?

This much is known about the White Sox starting pitcher for Sunday's series finale at Wrigley Field: It won't be Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez.
Prior to Saturday afternoon's contest, general manager Ken Williams announced that the right-hander would be placed on the disabled list, effective Sunday, retroactive to his last start Monday against Texas. Hernandez suffers from a slight case of soreness in the back of his pitching shoulder.

The decision on Hernandez was made following a 30-minute closed-door meeting with the pitcher, Williams, Guillen and Cooper two hours before game time. Hernandez pleaded his case to even pitch Sunday against the Cubs, but the White Sox elected to err on the side of caution.

"I'm on the DL, and that's it," said Hernandez, through translator Ozzie Guillen Jr. "I feel a little bit that my arm doesn't feel comfortable. So I have to be on the DL."

doesn't sound awful.....but still =(

Battle Of New York, Round #3:

Mets owned again.
Yankees win, 5-3.

Pavano with a pretty good outing aside from that ridiculous homer by Cliff Floyd. Kid Wonderful fucked up a play or two, but atoned for his sins with another RBI to get us going late. Tony Womack is GUTTER, peoples. Broke up a jillion DPs, owned Reyes in the face to force a dropped ball, swiped a base and change, and generally rendered the game lol-worthy. Mo with the save.

NICE.

If the yankees win their next game and the Jays lose, I'm sorry, but Kid Wonderful has got to go. We're tied now.....it's on!

damn. vizcaino single-handedly blew the game. McCarthy pitched beautifully. fucking ozzie made the wrong call in taking him out, especially for vizcaino.

we definitely had our chances to win though. ah well. 2 outta 3 is fine by me.

Wow! After giving up 5 runs yesterday in 1/3 of an inning to bump his era to over 7 then flipping the bird at a heckler from the dugout, the Reds designated Graves for assignment. :lol :lol

Thank god!

Eww, after watching the TBS Braves crew chum around with Rush Limbaugh for an inning I'm sure Raoul Duke must now admit that the Braves are truly Satan's Team.

The Mets have the toughest schedule in all of baseball... from the yanks, to the braves, and then to the marlins... NL EAST is pretty competitive which is at least entertaining.
