:lol :lol :lol White Sox get shutout by a rookie. This is the beginning of a very long slide :)

just like the cubs were gonna win 20 out of their next 25, right? and i could quote that?

i give you permission to start the smack talk once your team is over .500 ;)

so el duque is on the DL..... but the cubs.... the cubs.. aaay.
cubs fans are very similar to mets fans in that any litle chance they get they bash the cross-town rivals (well, not all mets fans. just the crazy retarded ones)

hehe, you doomed yourself by putting that avvy on. You're stuck with it now. :lol

Also, rofl @ Paul Quantrill's revenge tosses. No Yankee will stand for attacks on the Kid!

Finally, fuck you, Buddy Groom. :(

I wear it like a badge of honor!

It was all ready to come off................But then.......REED JOHNSON WALKOFF HR!!!!! WOOOOOOO

Man, I sure pick dumb games to sit out. I'll be at the rogers centre for the next 5 games, that's for sure. KW stays...since the jays won. Wish the yankees hadn't too, but whatever. Awesome

Hell of a comeback tonight by the Marlins against the Phillies. Two runs in the eighth, a Damion Easley solo homerun to tie it with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, and Delgado drives in Dillion in the 10th.

Weird play in the 10th, too. Conine is trying to bunt, he pops it up, Bell is running in from third to catch it and slips flat onto his back. The ball falls behind him on the infield grass...and then rolls foul a couple of inches in front of the bag.

Lidge = no control

Clemens = no win

Season = over, and has been for a while now

trade roger for his sake

cubs aren't making the playoffs either btw

:lol

couldn't make it last year, and the team got worse.

I thought you cubs fans were accustomed to losing...maybe a few more decades of the same will drill it into your head

*awaits the inevitable 'astros have 1 postseason series win in their history' retort*

Great game! There was actual enthusiasm after the game, haven't seen that in Toronto in years.

WOOOT WOOT

Just got back from watching my Bravos SHUT OUT the Mets like the little biznatches they are. Tim Hudson! Tim Hudson! Paydro who?

I feel sorry for Tom Glavine. He'd be doing so much better if he had been playing on a half-decent team the past few years, instead of the Mets. :p

He's the one who is stinking up the Mets. The METS would have a way better record (prob in first) if this jerk off wasn't around.

buehrle goes 9 innings, gives up 1 run on 3 hits and gets a ND.

top of the 11th now. this game needs to fucking end. i still haven't showered, it's almost midnight and i have to be up at 6. sigh

oh yeah, we win in 11, 2-1. hope we can just win one more out there. oh how i loathe the west coast

One more win and we are back to .500 woooo! :lol

You know, I didn't realize how pitiful the Disastros offense was until last night. They made Sergio Mitre look like Cy Young! My god the stros are pitiful. It doesn't even feel good beating them 'cause they are so damn bad.

The Reds should fire more people if it gets these kind of results! They are beating the Nats 11-3, and it looks like they will sweep the series!

damn, i knew the mets groundskeeper that got busted for being a runner in the gambling ring :lol

when i first heard the story i was like "nah, it couldnt be..." then i saw the picture of him in the paper today after he was released on bail and i couldnt believe it. :lol

that whole family wanted to be mobsters so bad, his brother would always act like a tough guy even though he was stuck in a wheelchair his entire life. his parents own a stationary down the block from me (where i used to live, thats how i know him).

good job so far astros. now don't choke the lead away(again)

hahaha. who loses at home to houston, really? the flubs, that's who

TIGGERS OWNED. :lol

Chien-Ming Wang pitched a very good game, the Kid got the offense rolling late, and Mo closed it out.

The Evil Empire is starting to roll.

Beltran needs to return... This is the shit I was afraid of. How can the Mets show what they're made of if people keep getting injured? This shit has killed us for the last few years.

It isn't as if Beltran was lighting up the majors when he was healthy this year. Beltran has been a big disappointment so far. $17 million a year for mediocrity.

And don't start looking to injuries for excuses. The Braves are hampered with much more serious injuries than the Mets and still managed to sweep you guys. :lol

i always thought Beltran was overrated to be honest. Everyone kept calling him a 5 tool player, but the guy is a career .280 hitter. Isn't one of the 5 tools hitting for average? And everyone makes a big deal about how he can steal bases. Who cares? the stolen base is dead in baseball these days, and for the rare occurance that a team needs one, they usually have go to "stolen base" guy (Dave Roberts with Boston last year). When you strip it down, he's closer to Andrew Jones than Arod or Pujols.

Great win by the Jays, nice to see them keeping pace with the Yanks and actually beating the Sox for a change.

I had Arroyo dressed but I don't mind him losing to the Jays. At least most of his runs against were unearned. :D

Short answer: the Mets ARE showing what they're made of. I told you at the beginning of the season, but you didn't want to believe me. Well how bout now?

Oh, and how pathetic is Piazza? :lol :lol :lol Braves were running on him at will tonight.

Another great day for baseball. The brewers and Yankees win (my two favorite teams) and the Red Sox and the pitiful horrible cant stand their fans and all stupid flatlanders Cubs lose.

When will cub fans get it. They are doomed for ever, they will never win the world series again. The first step to fixing the problem is admitting that you have one; and in the case of Cubs fans, their problem is that they are cubs fans. :lol

The Empire strikes back!!!

You act as if the Braves have a 20 game lead in the division.

They may as well have as far as the Mets are concerned. The Mets looked terrible the whole series and if Beltran is the only thing keeping them from greatness, then they're bound to fail this season, relying on one player so much. An injured Braves team beat an injured Mets team and the same will likely happen when/if both teams get healthy.

another white sox victory. D-Herm up to 19(or is it 20?) scoreless innings to start the year.
Freddy goes 8 strong giving up 2 runs.

Where are all the people saying our pitching won't last?

Man, what's with Baltimore's attendance? Is it just because of the Nats nearby? Hard to believe that with a first place team and a great stadium they'd only get 18k (5k less than the Jays) (10 thousand more than the D-Rays :D ) Even Cleveland only got 15k tonight.....I'm so used to the Jays being known as one of the worst teams in terms of filling a building that this all comes as a bit of a shock to me.

also speaking of attendance, anaheim drew 42k tonight. jesus christ. do they always pull like that on a freakin' wednesday night? nuts

Raoul Duke said:
Nah, it doesn't matter tho. They're a 1/2 game back. Where are the Mets again? Oh yeah.

Face it dude. Your team sucks.

yeah, but the Yankees are streaking just in time to jump off one bandwagon onto another, like Keanu did on the bus in speed.
