:lol :lol has there been a game yet this year where Remlinger hasn't been hit? even if they don't get a run out of this, seems like he's always getting smacked around

also, podsednik is ridiculous on the basepads. with that steal he's up to 31 on the year already. crazy.

:lol :lol :lol :lol nothing like seeing cubs fans get their hopes up only to be slapped in the face with reality seconds later

also, jesus christ @ freddy garcia. 16 retired in a row after giving up the homer. talk about cruising.

And the Yanks are back to sub .500.

sigh

At least the Heat lost. Maybe most of the shmucks down here will be too sad to throw the 200 million jokes my way. :)

Nice job Lowe, way to bear down after the first 3 inning and give us 8 strong...And Kent, 2-4 with 4 RBI's

Keep it up boys

2 of those runs should'nt have scored, damn errors! Anyway I think it's time to celebrate because this is our first 3 game winning streak in a long time.

I don't have the stats in front of me, but we must be in the bottom third in total errors.

As Cubs fans said when they were winning (and only then, of course) Dusty is the manager of the year!

``The guy threw a good game against us. A major difference is the fact we didn't know him,'' Cubs manager Dusty Baker said. ``He probably knew more about us than we did him.''

``We didn't know the speed of McDonald,'' Baker said.

Also: I know none of you probably care, since it has gets no media attention and very few first year players actually play in the MLB that year (unlike every other pro sport) but the MLB draft is tomorrow

Just a heads up

Dammit Mitre will beat Holiday and save my avatar!

Aw hell.......who am i kidding?

Holiday? You don't know the best pitcher in the major league's name? Roy Halladay

Man, I almost want Halladay to play for NY, just so he can get the attention he deserves. Oh well, another Cy Young will do the trick. :D

:lol
Pitcher: "Hey, lemme walk 3 straight batters to start an inning!"
Catcher: "But, man, we're tied and these are the Yankees we're talking about."
*Big smile across pitchers face*
Catcher: "Oh yeah, I forgot. Carry on then."

I was surprised when the Mets didn't get Latroy, but I guess they had their sights set even lower when it came time to shore up the bullpen. :lol

Mets' trade for Danny Kolb and tack on 2 year contract extension for him before he gets off the plane - you just *know* it's coming.

Could Pedro no-hit the championship bound Astros...anything is possible in baseball.

My bro is at this game...*edit*what a f-ing jinx I am :D

You know he'll break down somewhere in the middle of his contract, but right now Pedro was worth every penny the Mets shelled out for him. I'm shocked to see him 7-1 with a 2.45 ERA, I honestly thought he was going to tank.

Houston you have just been METSowned.

This is why Minaya is a genius. Pedro has 15 more years left in him where as Randy is pretty much done with.

The way Pedro was throwing the off speed stuff today,I don't think he'll be breaking down for awhile. He saves his best stuff for last, like the way he struck out the side in the 9th,that was icing on the cake. I'm amazed he didn't go after any of that team for nailing Floyd in the back though. Rick Peterson must have told him to cool it.

As of right now-we have the 2nd place Mets, with the Braves at 3rd
This must really piss of Braves fans.:lol The whole N.L.East division is black and blueing one another each day out,its pure chaos.

"Houston you have just been METSowned."

This quote last year would have pissed us off, then again you are a banwagon fan so no one would have said that last year cause you were rooting for the Yankees *who were good last year*....anyway this year no Astro fans care, trash talk all you want, all of us are pretty damn aware our team sucks and we are dealing with it.

Being "Mets"owned doesnt seem any different than being shutout by some other ballclub :|

Ahh,I stand corrected. The Braves just leap frogged over the Mets to take 2nd once again, grrrr. Its times like this that I wish they still had Kazmir. Zambrano pitching tomorrow is going to be very suspenseful to watch.:(

- 1,000,000 for having to wear a Cubs hat during his lifetime

:lol @ Moyer in a Cubs hat.

Man...Burke's first career HR breaks up a possible no-hitter. It's minor victories like this that keep me watching...:(

too little too late too little too late too little too late

:head explodes:

someone wake me up when this nightmare is over.

Hmm, you know what this thread hasn't seen much of lately? Braves fans. Wonder why.

Mostly we're curled up in a fetal position mumbling "Schuerholtz will makes some trades, Schuerholts will makes some trades."

fifty you've got some sweet draft picks from Ole Miss.

Yeah thanks. Everything I've read has been very positive. However, the ole miss home boys aren't my hilight of the draft. That would be.......JOSH SOWERS from Yale. He's a right handed pitcher....Much like a Jay who pitched tonight by the name of Josh Towers. You heard it here first. 2007 starters, Sowers and Towers.

Oh yeah.....and Cubsfan. You must ditch the viral advertising for one week and enjoy the camaraderie that only being a Blue Jays fan can provide.

Try it on.....Tell me how it fits.
Hopefully you continue to post this week
