Kudos to Cubsfan for at least taking the bet straight away. Mr. Bob wasn't so confident in his team. It's better to die trying than to never try at all!

Olmedo Saenz is the maaaan!

And Scott Erickson is trash!

Edit:
First three batters:

Pudge: Homerun
Monroe: Single
Martinez:Walk

Nice move Tracy

Edit #2:
Too late Tracy, he's already cost us one run and put Osoria in a jam.

In my book Erickson is going to take the fall for this loss. Sure, Tracy was responsible for putting him in but once he got blown up, this whole game went to shit. In fact, Erickson might become my permanet fall guy this year because Tracy won't be going anywhere.

Get on the bandwagon

Tracy should be fired because once again Alvarez is on the D.L. Before they brought him up all u heard Tracy talk about was how Alvarez would under no circumstance be starting. Yet he threw him out there 3 times and screwed up the same shoulder he was on the D.L for in the first place. I knew it would happen the second he said Alvarez was starting a game. =\ I hate being right.

We also lost Ledee to the DL with a hamstring injury.

Crap, I had not heard that. Guess I shouldve checked once I noticed Mike Edwards and Jason Repko were both in the outfield. Damn injury bug has hit the Dodgers pretty badly so far this season. It seems Dodgers and Brad Penny have come to an agreement on a contract extension.

Good to hear about Penny

I'm a Jays fan but I also like the Cubs.

In other news the Diamond Backs selected my high school teammate Matt Krohe with the 1st pick of the 21st round(621 overall) of the MLB draft. I just got drunk with him at the bars last weekend.

The Blue Jays should get 7 losses for each inning Mitre shut them down today. But they did get two hits in those 7 innings so we'll lower it to 5 losses.

hahahahah, nothing better than coming home and seeing that your #7 starter threw a 2 hitter.

I may keep this avatar longer than i expect

:lol :lol

Unexpectedly, Fifty has brought the Cubbies good luck again! Thanks! :D

Mitre out dueling Halladay...who woulda thunk it? Hahahahahhahahahaha!

now, moving onto real chicago baseball....let's see if we can actually get a sweep for once tonight, boys. third series in a row we've won the first two games. let's finally win the third.
we call on you, el duque, to accomplish this task.

Hmm, that's a head scratcher. I could have sworn we were talking about real Chicago baseball. Not the secondary team which gets a slight glance because they've had a lucky year so far. :D

Fifty.

We need the Kid.

It's the only way.

Maybe make a Deformed Kid avvy, I dunno.

...you're killing us all. :(

You want to use it? I can hook you up.

That was a fluke. He should have won that game. I thought it was this evening too. Damn you guys and your afternoon games. Everyone in Chicago must work cushy jobs. Anyway, the avatar didn't do shit! Just you see.....

Nice! Joe finally getting fired up! This is the kind of thing I want to see from the Yankees, no more of this automaton bullshit.

so, on your logic, real chicago baseball has to do with a team that is 4 games over .500? the cubs haven't gotten any attention since they've started sucking, which was like 5 weeks ago.
they only pub they've got is when their overrated, weak ass, injury prone "Stars" get hurt.

also based on your logic, this year's Yankees are all that is right in baseball, since they're still getting the most airtime on tv.

good one, jackass.

also, GOD DAMNIT OZZIE. I'm sick of this shit. every fucking time we win the first two game, he rests half our team in the third game. stop this shit. minnesota is still winning, we still need to be playing.
put ozuna in at third instead of crede? good one, ozzie. his error only already cost us 3 runs.
so irritating.

Dammit Sportsnet, I wanted to see the Mr. and Mrs. Smith promo! :| I wouldn't have bothered watching the Yankees game for long otherwise.

And, damn, I did not foresee Mitre outdueling Doc today. :P

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol Prior overrated? :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

also getting hit by a baseball and running into a 2nd baseman isn't being injury prone.

wood, prior, and nomar = all injury prone. these are facts. yeah, he is overrated, BECAUSE HE NEVER FUCKING PITCHES.
Man, those 8 games he pitches every year are fucking gems.

and i'm not gonna even start to talk about wood.
but for 14 mil a year, he's the best .500 pitcher you'll find.

nice comeback by the white sox. we once again have the lead :)

uh, what? this is his 4th season. outside of his spectacular 2003 season, he's hasn't won more than 6 games any year, and it doesn't look like he will this year either.
it was a generalization. every thinks of him as being one of the best pitchers in the game....one great season does not a great pitcher make.

his first year he was called up in august. If he blows out his elbow like Wood did his 2nd year, then yeah you can call him overrated for not pitching; but not for freak injuries.

but see, that's how the curse works. it gives some freak injuries their whole careers, and others it just decimates their arm. funny thing, that curse is.
