Fucking Cubs. Beat the Cards again.

With so many games against good teams this could actually go in our favor at the end of the year. The Cubs seem to play great against the best teams but crap against shitty teams! TOMMORROW SWEEP.

If anything, I'll take solace in the fact that the Cubs domination over the Cards is making the official Cards message board go crazy! :lol

Oh, but what did I mention before? Oh yes. the Cubs 30 game winning streak is getting going. :)

"IT HAS BEGUN!"

I'll tell you what's wrong with Schilling. He has no confidence in his splitter right now. He looked pretty good the last few appearances, but tonight he was pretty bad. Gotta give the White Sox hitters credit though, they can rake. Most guys in that lineup are a HR threat.

yeah, no kidding. we have hit more HRs than the Red Sox for christ's sake. for being a "pitching and defense team", we are 2nd in homers in the AL i think. aside from Podsednik, everyone in our normal lineup can go deep.
It's fucked up.

"To speed up the game a little more, why don't they make it so when a pitcher throws to a base when there is a runner on, the player hitting gets a ball added to the count. I say this b/c I've seen pitchers throw to a base 4 times in a row. But if they make each throw to a base a ball for the current hitter, it would kinda speed up the game."

People are so fucking stupid.

Nice to see Victor Diaz rock the house with two homers tonight, too bad the Mets lost again though.

I'd assume Cameron is gone for the year,he is suffering from a cuncution so that could stay with him a long time after his facial bones have healed. Its weird because I was just saying a few weeks back that the the Mets should trade him to make room for Diaz, then this all goes down.

Anyways get better Cammy-the Mets need more controversy with Diaz playing for your spot again:) All joking aside,it sucks what happened to he and Beltron. And Floyd being hit on the knee cap by that goon Padre relief pitcher the next inning was just icing on the cake, fuck.

He could be the first baseball player (that I know of) to wear one of those clear plastic masks. Now that would be funny to watch.

wow the yankees pitching staff is ALL fucked up. like worse than before (which i didnt think it was possible). they're starting to use starting pitchers in relief on their throw days. (chacon yesterday, small today).

LOL! Maybe it's not a bad idea for Chacon and Small to be in the pen{so pissed off at pitching staff fiasco}. That's the only way they could probably get wins!!! Sorry Moose this wins not for you. Bernie I bow to thee!

Mark Buehrle? Jon Garland? Good pitchers are reduced to shells of themselves against the mighty Red Sox machine when its firing on all cylinders.

And a followup on Schilling: see, when he throws his splitter he gets outs. Tried to retire Dye with fastballs and ended up getting burned.

Either way, dirty water for the Sox. This team is on a tear right now.

Jay Seo continues to nail another win, baby. Not really impressive over powering stuff today but he finds a way to get the win none the less. Its like everything is off speed, off speed, and more off speed. Its like they know whats coming, but they don't know what the hell to do with it,heh. Though that first inning was all luck for him, that double play saved his ass when it could have been broken wide open.

Looks like this is also becoming David Wright's team now too, forced to hit in the 3rd spot with Beltron gone now-another rbi for the guy today. 73 now, just one behind Floyd, not bad for a 2nd year player,he might nail 100 by the end of the season.

Please do tell.
It's called cognitive dissonance.

For Mets fans, it's believing that your team will be competitive without rebuilding your terrible farm system and improving your bullpen. Also, sacrificing virgins to have Bobby Cox, Leo Mazzone and John Schuerholz killed, because as long as they do their thing down here in the dirty south, the road to the division title and the playoffs goes through Atlanta. If that's not apparent after THIS year, well then you're a Mets fan! :lol

For Reds fans, it's believing that your team has a chance in a division with at least three better teams(and four next year when the Brewers step up). It's believing you have a chance when the best your front office can do to bring in pitching help is to sign an extreme fly ball pitcher to pitch in that bandbox and then shake their heads when he gives up the most home runs in a single season. Give it up Reds fans, your organization is fucking clueless.

Raoul-true but who exactly is saying that in here though, you act as if you've talked to every mets fan in the word. Go back and read a few pages in here-just a few. You'll see what I've been saying for ages-the Mets are a .500 team, they are not a play off team. Its good to see them improve, and they'll eventually reach that next stage,in about two to three years, when the farm keeps improving and that talent that is down there now is ready to be brought up.

And youre off about the Mets farm system. Theres defintely talent coming up,and for once the Mets kept it,thats a far cry from that joke of a trade that went down last yearwith the Zambrano/Kazmir mess-thank god that GM is gone. Omar Minaya is alot more savy when it comes to the farm system that you're giving credit for.

The Braves are a good team and I for one could give a damn seeing these *bad things* happen to Bobby Cox or Mazone. I'll admit-the guy makes me laugh when he walks around and mumbles to himself everytime the Braves give up a run. Thats whats so funny to witness, his antics. Plus its quite frankly funny from not only a Mets fan,(from any team thats in the N.L. East) to see the Braves always disapear every October. How they always fall apart is mind boggling, but more often than ot it happens. If thats part of what youre speaking about then sure,I guess were all guilty of having a good laugh or two on their expense.

My anti-Mets sentiment is mostly driven by Kuroyume and the NYC transplants that show up to Braves games, make asses of themselves and leave in shame. There ARE level headed Mets fans, and you appear to be one. Congrats!

The Reds suck, though.

I guesss so.I live in Central California and I see all sorta of asshole fans that jump on and off band wagons-its sickening. I can't even wear my Piazza jersey without being starred down by born again Dodger fans in some parts of my area. But anyway-about the Braves,I think theyre a great team dude. Doesn't mean I like them,I hate them, mostly because they have a great farm and are run so well, for what....14 years now? They make it look freakin' easy, and it sucks to have your favorite team not follow a blue print like this,it can't be that hard. The Mets need to stick to a plan like this,(theyre starting to actually *get it now*) but I'm sure you're the last guy who wants to hear a Mets fan ramble on. I'll cut the talk and let you get back to grilling folks on this board:lol

So now you're going to be a turncoat and attack another Mets fan because of what this clown thinks of you? I'm ashamed of this.... totally disgusting.

You should know about being a turncoat, Mankees fan!

Man, you really just set yourself up for this shit, dude. Just stop while you're waaaaay behind.

Yeah that thought crossed my mind the other day. Has there ever been a baseball player wearing one one of those masks? I think Cameron is probably done this year though. It could look realy ugly too if the Mets trade him in the off season-he goes down with a really bad injury and then gets traded in the off season. I like the guy alot,he bringsa fire and defense to the team that we need, but then theres Victor Diaz waiting in the wings also. It will be an interesting off season, heh.

Slight correction, Metkees fan. But true nonetheless!

BTW - Trying to follow the Texans/Broncos game, then the Astros/Pirates game all on ESPN's gamecast, while taking Tech Support calls at work...while a few of the servers go down for maintenance...lord that was fun.

Ok, what seems to be the problem?
"blah blah bl..."
One second, I'll be right back...
*mute*
WHAT THE FUCK! Pass interference?!
SHIT...WTF LIDGE?! HR?!
*calms back down*
Reboot your computer and leave me alone...

Well, not quite, but if I were more of an asshole I probably would have. :p

Both of my teams don't play in the same city, to where I could flip flop and drop one when the other stops doing well. I don't talk much about the Red Sox because for one, they don't need much talking. They're struggling with and still leading the AL east :lol

And I've said it for years, As much as I'd love to see a Astros/Red Sox world series, I'd always take the Astros over the Red Sox, cause the Astros get over by being the home team. You don't see me rooting for the Rangers, Spurs, Mavericks, or Cowboys now do you. These teams (sans the Cowboys) have been doing better than the Astros/Rockets in the past year or two, you don't see me jumping ship at the first sign of trouble (Astros 15-30, Rockets 6-11)
