Caught some of the heat game on a friends DVR, damn did Bosh look good. Starting to look like they can play together. Johnson is out though, but a win is a win.

Oh please. Bynum will be back for you guys next game. Lakers will still come out 1st seed in the West at season's end.
Bynum just had his first 5 on 5 practice just recently... I seriously doubt he'll be back by next game.

And nothing is written in stone. Any losses we take and any wins the competition gets is a set-back as far as I'm concerned.

I won't sleep well until the 5pur5 drop a few games.

Just saw the score-line of the Wolves - Cavs game.... :lol :lol :lol

That Miami game must have really broke their spirit. How on earth do you get blown out by the Wolves!?

And the Kings blowing another 4th quarter lead.... :lol

Seriously, this is the most entertaining regular season in a long while.

The Hawks aren't exactly the best representative team, but I was surprised at how well Bosh did against Horford, I'll say that much. Everyone pretty much expected them to win these last four games though (except the crazies who thought they would lose in Cleveland) and they don't have any more tough games until like Wednesday or Thursday.

Why doesn't Spo play Erik Dampier more often?

Most people in this thread were saying Cleveland was going to win!

Man this is horrible. Watching kings games is just setting myself for disappointment every time.

This season is tanked man. This team is just too damn young, and Westphal hasn't been doing the job of making them commit to concept not being completely retarded on the court.

We need a winning team too. Worried about Kings leaving Sacramento due to no one caring for a team that cant win :(

How anyone on the planet can think Marquis Teague is better then Myck Kabongo at PG baffles my mind. Marquis is a SG in a PG body, just like his brother. Myck is probably one of the most talent, pass first natural PG to come along in a decade.

Yeah, we've been in the bottom of attendance averages the past three seasons (including this one). Just haven't been able to find anything that works.

I don't want a HOF coach or anything, just some guy like Scott Brooks who can take a group of young guys and make them buy into a defensive mentality.

I am sure Nash will coach the Kings.

When they move to Vancouver in four years.

Money? Fuck money. I'm worried about the future standings.

Its fucking December. Don't worry about it. Only 20 games into the season.

You guys. :lol

But if thats the case, you probably won't sleep well for a while. It'll probably take at least a month for the Lakers to overtake the Spurs, so I'd be patient if I were you. I'd be shocked if you guys didn't end with the number 1 seed though.

No one expected them to lay on their back and receive LeBron.

This wasn't some tender love-making either. Bron pounded them bareback, slapped his willy across their face, defiled them in every possible position and then bailed leaving two Benjamins on the night-stand.

The Wolves should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of the Cavs who are clearly suffering from postcoital depression.

Whatever you say, champ. As much as anyone likes to pretend they're right, we'll never actually know unless he somehow gets consistent starter's minutes in the future.

This is true... But Gortat has played real mins during his career and in the playoffs. I think a lot of people here overrate him a bit... But he is still better than a lot of starting centers in the NBA

I'd take him over Bynum/Zombie Pyrz/Biendrins/Dalembert in a heartbeat.

He might knock out Evans.

Sac needs a coach that will get Evans to stop playing street ball.

Yeah, our best player missed the game with a sprained ankle. Thankfully, Wesley Johnson decided to play like he was the #4 pick or something.

Its going to be a battle of the injuries. Ginobli is like Bynum in that you can count on them both to get hurt during the season. And I am not sure that either Duncan or Kobe's body can handle the entire season (hell Kobe didn't start the year healthy and he still isn't back to 100%).

I don't know if the Lakers are going to three-peat without homecourt throughout the playoffs. Both of the Finals with Boston were decided by HC.

The Lakers are behind the Jazz and Mavs after the Jazz and Mavs have played two of the toughest schedules in the league and the Lakers have played the easiest schedule in the league. The Mavericks are getting the #1 seed this year and the Jazz and Spurs will battle it out for the #2 seed.

Once Webster gets back, Rambis should bring Wes off the bench. He'll get more shots if he's spelling Beasley rather than playing alongside him.

So, who's excited for Cavs-Pistons tonight?

*crickets*

Anyone?

the only televised game for me today on nbatv is Hornets vs Spurs, at least it's a good game, yesterday's game was what's left of the Magic vs the Bucks....

Hornets are the worst team in the league you know.

The way the Hornets have been playing lately that one will be pretty one-sided. Ironically the Raptors-Knicks game might be one of the more competitive ones tonight.

Games of the night:

Tier 1 (must watch):

None.

Tier 2 (should be good):

Knicks @ Raptors -- Both teams have been playing surprisingly well lately, to the point that I am willing to believe that this will not be just another episode of shameball. Almost.

Clippers @ Trailblazers -- Both teams are hungry for a win (on the road for the Clippers, at all for the Blazers) and Griffin is pissed. The Blazers have played badly enough lately that this might be a rout, but either way it should be entertaining.

Tier 3 (tune in if it's close):

Warriors @ Thunder -- This one really shouldn't be close, but the Thunder just lost to the Raptors so anything is possible.

Hornets @ Spurs -- A week or two ago this would have been the no-brainer game of the night, but the Hornets are slumping hard and the Spurs have looked vulnerable recently. I would be pleasantly surprised if this turns out to be a great game.

Grizzlies @ Nuggets -- I almost put this in Tier 2 because I have a hunch this is going to be a really good game. Hopefully it's not another FT fest.

Tier 4 (for fans of the teams only):

Celtics @ Nets -- Only if you want to see Shaq laughing while shooting free throws with his left hand late in the second quarter.

Cavaliers @ Pistons -- Broken-down, defeated, and unwatchably terrible. The only thing T-Mac sucks out of the room anymore is joy.

Wizards @ Suns -- Hell, I wish I could put this higher, but the Wizards blow on the road. Expect lots of shitty jump shots with the clock expiring.

Listen, lets drop the shameball moniker with the Knicks for now. Reggie Evans is out, if Ronny Turiaf is playing Knicks will rout Toronto. Believe in STAT SWAGGER.

Someone hasn't heard about Ed Davis.

See? This is already how you know it's going to be a great matchup! Two teams... two overconfident fanbases... two D-league callups... two (advanced) stat monsters... one winner.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/basketball/nba/12/05/hornets.takeover/index.html?xid=si_nba
As the NBA moves toward buying the New Orleans Hornets, a league source has identified a potential administrator to run the team on an interim basis -- Jac Sperling, vice chairman of the Minnesota Wild.

Sperling would be charged by the NBA with running the Hornets while overseeing their sale to a permanent buyer. The league has said it wants to keep the franchise in New Orleans, but the team can opt out of its lease if it averages less than 14,213 fans over a span of 13 home games from Dec. 1 to Jan. 17, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. The 13-5 Hornets were averaging 13,826 with four more games to go before the deadline.

These developments follow SI's original report last week that the league discussed during its October board of governors meeting a takeover of the Hornets from owner George Shinn, who wants to unload the team but hasn't been able to find a buyer.

Two league sources tell SI.com they expect the NBA to take control of the Hornets soon. "It could happen within 48 hours,'' said one of the sources on Saturday.

If the Hornets were to move, possible new locations would include Kansas City, Anaheim and Chicago, which is the third-largest market in the country yet has only one NBA franchise.
So, the NBA says they're about keeping the team there, yet have identified potential cities for relocation.

Moving them to Chicago would create a Lakers-Clippers situation... do not want. Anaheim would be dumb too, way too many teams in the same space. Kansas City could work if it weren't an awful market... they'd be consigning the team to failure. If only there was a city without a team that had historically supported basketball and was a pretty good sports town.

Knicka please.

This is like the Knicks' Superbowl. I don't think they've won a season series against the Raptors since No Diggity came out. But there is an iron wall standing between them and victory, an iron wall known as a 1pm Sunday start in White Vegas.

Also, Ed Davis effect.

It's alright-with level-headed team leaders like Amare Stoudamire and Raymond Felton, i'm sure the team was tucked in and sleeping by 10 PM.

The Hornets could probably be a bigger franchise, and make more money if they came to Chicago over those other cities. The basketball market here is huge.
