And the defense is scheme related, but Kurt Rambis doesn't think it's a problem. Pack the paint and watch opponents rain 3s all day. Next stop, championship.

Ah, the "protect the house" scheme. It led the Raptors to their all time (no really, look it up) awful D last year. I guess the Spurs or somebody used it successfully one time and it became the in thing.

I agree with most of the Heat sentiments that I'm not going to count anything as fucking real until we do this...in the playoffs. Even if we were to beat the LA and Boston and other shit down in the regular season right now it means nothing. Yeah it's satisfying but for the last 2 years haven't we thought Cleveland was going to run away and then look what happens?

I've had my heart broken in sports too many times to get excited about meaningless wins anymore. I'm saving my energy for when it counts.

I'm not going to assume jack shit about this team because of winning against scrub teams (although I don't care how good or bad, 12 wins in a row is nothing to roll your eyes at) but at the same time Heat detractors should step back and not assume that its already over either. Because we're still in fucking December, yall

At the same time pretty much everyone here is like a cat; whenever a Heat fan besides myself pretty much posts its like everyone suddenly gets jealous and has to start protecting his territory and jump all over because OH NO THE MWO IS HOGGING ALL ATTENTION WAH WAH WAH :( chill the fuck out, people.

oh yeah and how about them NEW YORK KNICKS ARE BACK :lol :lol :lol
What's the Knicks gotta do with you almost losing to the Wizards? We played a trap game and got trapped. Shit happens.

Rambis was in charge of the Lakers defense when he was an assistant there and installed it. They won a title with it, so the Wolves issues must not be scheme related.

But they totally are. I've noticed it for 2 years now. If the Wolves just ran man defense, sans all the nonsense doubling down into the paint, things would be better.

They played terrible. They were lazy, settling for dumb shots (Gallo 1/10 from 3... god), absolutely all of them, except for Felton who fought well. TBH a lot had to do with them being tired, but that's the thing: D'Antoni's rotation is so tight it will backfire like that. I want Randolph to play 20 minutes. Have Amare be fresher at the end of games.

It's pretty simple - you need guys with great court awareness who always know exactly where to be and are going to bust their asses flying out on shooters then getting back into position.

So basically not Hedo Turkoglu and bad-hamstring Jose Calderon.

The Wolves don't have anybody who's that good on defense. Instead of adopting a different approach, Rambis is basically saying, "I won a title with this, I can make it work."

No, man, you can't make it work with just anybody. It's the same reason the Wolves run the psuedo-triangle (but don't use the T-word) when Michael Beasley is our best offensive player.

Yeah...i don't see how a terrible 20 minutes from AR is any different than a terrible game from Gallo .

Bynum is a HEAD taller then every Raptor on the court right now. Hopefully he shows off the same BBIQ he had last year and doesn't take advantage.

Oh god.. this is gonna be one of those games isn't it? When the Lakers don't care until they realize they might actually lose and the other team is playing like it's all or nothing.

ugh

FOR THEM IT'S THEIR CHAMPIONSHIP FOR US IT'S JUST ANOTHER SUNDAY

omg Luke Walton almost got a coast to coast lay-up... if we don't win this game :lol

You know how this goes. Lakers will stay in 2nd gear until the 4th then pour it on for 8 minutes and win by 10, while the opposing team comes away happy with the moral victory and their media spends then next month saying "they really showed they can compete with anybody against the Lakers!"

No, it's one of those games where Phil Jackson sits his starters (sans Gasol) for major minutes because he'd rather take a chance at losing a meaningless game than wearing them out.

Celtics announcers are retarded. Granger playing defense on Pierce is apparently "man-handling" him. Fuck off.
Pierce is old and fragile, Granger should respect his brittle bones.

If it wasn't for Mike d's short rotations, you guys wouldn't have won as many games. The talent on that bench just isn't that deep.
