Dat D'antoni effect... Lakers want to move on and likely got the Hawks unofficial answer of No for J Smith. Amare is D'antoni second favorite player behind nash and besides injuries in theory still has it.

Plus ya'll aint about winning with D'antoni he is there to make the transition to Dwight's Lakers entertaining. So give that man his piece to do his system.....Amare and a second rounder....

We're about winning every damn year in the Kobe era sans 2005-2007. You're crazy if you think Mitch is going to make a trade that's "not about winning" but about "making a transition more entertaining"

Let's not get into 'Lakers probably already asked X team about X player'

Let's deal with facts.

Suns staff said Amare would last 3 or 4 years about 2 years ago. Getting rid of that unguaranteed contract is gonna cost NY unless they wait it out which will leave them on the wrong side of chandler/melo prime or find a basement team willing to take it on because YNot.

Wait or give up a valuable piece or prospect.

Luckily for the Knicks, they're currently winning. If they go into a slump, Dolan is gonna go into his usual panic and deal picks, mystique and asbestos to sweeten up a deal.
