Depends on your monitor's native resolution and the resolution you downsample from, obviously.
It doesn't.How is RadeonPro able to differentiate between where to use FXAA and SMAA in order to achieve optimal results, without being detrimental to overall image quality/performance?
SMAA is far better for not creating blurry-as-shit IQ than FXAA IMO. FXAA is orright if you're downsampling though. But FXAA and sharpening probably wouldn't look that crash hot as you're sharpening something that's already been blurred out (again, IMO).It doesn't.
Pick one or the other. They're not meant to be used in tandem. FXAA for if reducing aliasing is more important to you than clarity of image, SMAA otherwise. FXAA + lumasharpen (in the SweetFX suite) can work just as well. There's no reason to switch between the two.
Some ME1 nostalgia.

It really is a shame that the pulled out planet exploration after the first. It really was the best thing about Mass Effect.
If you come in this thread you have little choice other than to look.
Some ME1 nostalgia.

Reposting these from the mod thread.
Reinstalled with some derfent mods. Constant 45-75 FPS so far... And so I will go further tomorrow and we'll see if we can get this baby even deeper.

These two shots totally encapsulate why Mass Effect 1 is better than either of the sequels.

Add in the music track named "Vigil" and get ready to have a variety of emotions evoked.
Dont make me reinstall mass effect 1. I never even beat two and did not buy 3. I was that disappointed...
I love those random explore things. I also love the mako
Those character textures are so ridiculous. Looks like their skin has been sprayed with water and glitter.
Some ME1 nostalgia.

Why improve things when you can just cut out everything cool and make a corridor shoot-bang?
Mass Effect 1 is amazing, it's not some rosetinted glasses - I'm well aware that from a gameplay perspective they definitely improved on it in ME2 ( haven't played 3, can't pay me to play that ) but shockingly I never played ME for the gameplay.
If you noticed in the Third game, it's like they hired JJ Abrams or Michael Bay for the cinematography. The music reflects a movie rather than a game or an aestheticYup. The tone of the series is pretty much on par with the evolution of the soundtrack.
From:
this or this
to this
and finally to this complete turn-around from the ambience of ME1
I can just imagine Bioware telling Jack Wall in ME2 and Sam Hulick in ME2/3: "The music needs to be more EPIC!!"
Add in the music track named "Vigil" and get ready to have a variety of emotions evoked.
YOU SIR, ARE AWESOME!
Listening to "Vigil" and looking at those two screenshots at the same time gave me the most awesome goosebumps I've EVER had!
