Hey sethos, random thought, just saw this post of yours.
Out of curiosity what was the problem and how did you finally manage to downsample on your 3011?
Problem was that the monitor didn't accept anything at the resolution I wanted, 3840x2400. Started with 60Hz, went down 5Hz a few times until I hit 40Hz and thought "Is this even working?" tried 20Hz, 5Hz and even 2Hz which it wouldn't accept either.
Few weeks later I saw a guy through a random Google search that he was using that resolution on his U3011 at 30hz ... So I tried 30hz, it worked perfectly, also worked at 33Hz which is the maximum. Found it curious that going really low on the Hz didn't work either, that'd usually lower the pixel clock by a ton.
This is all with automatic timing, didn't do any manual work.
And the 30Hz resolutions just appear in the game menus?
Well, you need to set your desktop resolution to the custom res before the game sees it.
Still a no go here.
Desktop res running @ 3840*2160/30Hz and there is no 2160 option in Skyrim's launcher, for example.
Something the ATI guys here might be interested in seeing: RadeonPro example of SSAO injection with Bioshock 1. I think it's getting released soon and will be available on all titles bar OpenGL ones.
I'm really looking forward to that. I was ecstatic to hear that development on RadeonPro picked back up and there are a ton of new features being added. I'm just waiting for the official release.
lol what happened to the side of his face. What kind of settings are you running man?
That's maxed with 4xSGSSAA enhanced through Inspector. It misses spots with lighting on it like that, I've noticed, or makes it worse lol

Something is horribly wrong with your settings if this is supposed to be max with 4xSGSSAA.

Yeah, I was about to say ... That does not look like 4xSGSSAA, the random explosion of jaggies on some objects doesn't help either. I almost get a similar result with 2xMSAA and SMAA.
SGSSAA? How comes their is quite a bit aliasing in your pics? Especially in the cutscene pic you posted.
AC3.

Would you mind sharing your settings?
Which is the lighter for a graphic card, downsampling or MSAA x8 ? Which is the best looking?
