Man, I'd have to wait for clothing texture mods to pop up before even thinking about playing ME3. Glad I haven't even played the first two yet.

So this image from earlier...is this just Skyrim on its highest settings, or is this achieved with some sort of mod. Or is this not even possible in game?

I like Liara's (?)" Oh shit... did I forget to turn off the stove?" face.

Are some people REALLY having a go at this games textures already? Really?!!

If you're referring to KKRT00's pics, keep in mind those are rather small and downsampled screens + motion blur + the occasional "actionscene shot".

A native sized, dialogue ( or any other closeup ) scene screenshot should shed light upon how terrible the textures are for a game of ME3's budget.

I know dude, but we've come to know that ME games have some iffy textures in a lot of spots. But on the whole this is a great looking game. Yeah there's some shitty looking textures, but damn, nearly every game in this thread can be spotted with some terrible textures.

ME2 had it, ME1 had it, and they were still great looking games. The comments people leave like "Mass Effect 3 has worst textures than I thought" just leaves me thinking that all people do is just want to hate for the sake of it. The game looks fucking great, but still, people wanna pick apart from bad textures.

Trying to keep my language to a minimum lol, but jeez, can't believe people sometimes. In the ME3 impressions thread its a minefield.

Well yeah I kinda agree with being surprised at the whole " they're worse than I thought". I didn't go into the game expecting anything in particular. They're far from the worst textures I've seen but that's not really a compliment.

ME1 and 2 did look great at times, though playing the ME3 demo its visuals are the least of my worries by now to be honest. In the end I'm sure there will be a texture pack for this game as well. Just a shame that they couldn't be good from the getgo.

It looks fine to me apart from the characters' clothes. But holy fuck at the characters' clothes.

You know, i can pick bad shots too :) Game is mixed bag, actually looks better on most screens than in reality.

@Corky it looks like than on my screen, because my monitor's native resolution is 1280x1024 ;p
Mass Effect 3 is manageable if You dont look at close ups, when You moving fast, look at art globally is great, other then that it looks like this.

Yeah, ME3 demo looks rather bad. It's like they didn't even bother to improve upon ME2 which was already worse graphically than ME1 in my opinion. Everything is either colorless or too dark/contrast to look even remotely close to real life.

Good news for GeForce owners is that ME1/ME2 AA compatibility bit seems to work fine with ME3 demo (at least in 275.33 drivers I'm using at the moment) and that helps to get rid of newly included vaselin filter also known as FXAA. Without FXAA crapping all over textures which aren't that good by themselves it's starting to look almost OK. Almost. But still that's a far cry from how a PC game should look in 2012.

Also I almost puked at new faces of Anderson and Ashley. They're really trying to turn Mass Effect into a Bro Tits Effect aren't they. As much a fan of the first game as I am from that demo it looks like I'll be skipping the third game. Enough is enough.

Sorry for the Afterburner read-outs, forgot to turn them off. Anyway I find it funny that in 2012 we're still having UE3-based games with no in-game MSAA options. It's been years since MSAA was added to all UE3 renderers including D3D9.

Hey, it's looking like Modern Battlefield 5: Call of Honor. Must be good then!

Nice demo, EA. It basically proves that everyone who liked ME1 and was dissapointed in ME2 should stay as far away as possible from ME3.

Apparently no.

I have been avoiding information about the game. Are they adding controller support to the final version?

It was disappointing that Mass Effect didn't have native controller support.
It was ridiculous that Mass Effect 2 didn't have native controller support.
It would be embarrassing if Mass Effect 3 didn't have native controller support.

It doesn't have some holster (?) animations that supposedly cost 2mb of ram and had to be cut from the console versions. Don't think they care that much about the pc version.

ME3 is so, so disappointing. I kept thinking "well, hopefully the full game won't be like this". I thought that when I watched the stupid dudebro E3 trailer, the completely uninformative (PRESS BUTTON FOR AWESOME) VGA "demo", the 5 trailers they recently released, and I just caught myself thinking it again when I saw these shots.

No real reason for me to bother with ME3 despite liking the series. It's a complete and utter shell of what it used to be, and going in the exact opposite direction of what I was hoping the series would evolve into.

It's weird because their faces now don't look like shit yet some of you are saying they NOW look like shit?

Did we play different games, ME1 and ME2 right? Ashley ugly as fuck etc right?

I honestly don't know what people were expecting. The textures in ME2 were pretty darn dire too. Maybe people got used to ridiculously downsized tiledshots?
