I would love to see Crysis 2 at max settings 1080p without any mods to get an idea of what the game might look like on say one of the budget alienware PCs?? No über sampling or mods...
@ Moaradin: Can you take screenshots in .PNG or .JPEG, please?
.BMP format images are massive in size.
Have you tried using SMAA or FXAA Injector?
I think the injector could potentially smooth out some of the jaggies.
I don't really know how much FRAPS compresses with .JPEG formats though. Just don't upload them to imgur...
I know .PNGs are fine though.
Budget alienware PC? Does something like that even exist? I wouldn't recommend wasting money on something you could buy for half the price.I would love to see Crysis 2 at max settings 1080p without any mods to get an idea of what the game might look like on say one of the budget alienware PCs?? Okay here is a vanilla, DX9 Crysis 2 screen:

And here is a Maldo, Quality Mod, DX11 scree:

How can you play with all of that sharpening? It makes my eyes bleed.
1. go to Witcher 2 user.ini -> Disable Sharpening and Post AA
2. Inject SMAA or FXAA
3. Profit
I'd love to use SMAA but I already have a magical d3d9.dll file in my Witcher 2 directory that stops the game from stuttering. Is there a way to use more than one d3d9.dll file in the same directory?
What do you mean by stuttering?

If only Skyrim supported DX11 and Bethesda released their textures at the res they authored them at, it could have been one of the best looking games ever made.
Diablo 3's art direction is so awful it legitimately depresses me. It's up there with ME3's ending as one of those things I just don't want to ever think about.
Catwoman: Arkham City
Everything to Extreme, Tessellation set to high. 16xAF, and AA= 32xCSAA through the Batman Launcher + 3360x2100 downsampled to 1680x1050. I still see jaggies =\

That's because you're playing at 1680x1050 even if you're internally rendering at a much higher res. Even at 1080p with tons of SSAA you'll still get some jagginess as it's not a high enough res to completely eliminate them. I imagine you'll need at least a 1440p monitor to get flawless image quality.
Or inject FXAA to get the rest of them. It's not ideal, but it helps!
Games where I can supersample (or SGSSAA) have spoiled me. Getting rid of poly aliasing is easy. But shader aliasing? Boo-urns. Playing games like ME3 with SGSSAA cleans up the shaders so deamn nicely. The whole image looks crisp and clean. Just going with MSAA though you only clean up the poly edges.
Like the fence in the background of that second Crysis 2 show I posted. The edges are aliased, but the shader shining in the fire isn't. Kills the IQ and I cant unsee it.

Still not feeling this. Give me 100 Diablo IIIs over a single Path of Exile.
^^^ MoP also looking amazing. Blizz slaying your faves on all fronts.
Mop looks great, diablo 3 is inexcusably shit looking.
The art style is fine, the texture quality and the polygon count is pathetic.
