That's the enhanced edition? Or is that the elf's path? I never did that one.

Nah. First shot is a doorway in the third act. Second shot is from the tutorial added a patch or two ago.

you playing iwth ubersampling on?

Both of those shots were taken without. I average 5 - 20fps with ubersampling :p. The old GTX570 cant keep up. These shots were all taken with ubserampling on, for shits and giggles: 1 2 3 4

Diablo 3's art direction is so awful it legitimately depresses me. It's up there with ME3's ending as one of those things I just don't want to ever think about.

Just snapped these two. I think they can very accurately be called "gun porn" shots. As many others have stated in this thread, Crytek's detail work on every gun in Crysis 2 (and 1) is stunning.

Out of curiosity, what are your exact settings for that 3360x2100 res? I must be doing something wrong, I managed to force 2560x1440 on my 1080p monitor but using anything higher than 2560x1440 gives me the error message "please use 1920x1080@60hz for this monitor"...

um I don't know how to check the settings exactly. When i hit customize whiel having that res selected, the manual v-sync settings are set to default it seems...

I remember this though, I used this forum guide (click) on keeping the pixel clock below a certain threshold + managing other variables under a manual timing config to raise the chances that my resolution would show.

And now that I try that high 3360 x 2100 res it shows up centered and unscaled... in fact i cant go higher than 2560 x1600 now... maybe the 301 drivers broke something with the DVI pixel max or something else? oh well I rarely used it and 2560 x1600 is good enough a standard for screenshot purposes anyway.

Hope this helps. :D

Appreciate it, I used the same guide. It's a bloody roll of the dice if a resolution works or not, I've had occasions when the exact same settings gave me different results in terms of success or failure.

Yep, now write same post in this topic http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=443339

No reasonable arguments can be accepted there.

Those skeletons look like something from the ps2 era, you know those BG dark alliance games?

Zombies look even 'better'

How can you play with all of that sharpening? It makes my eyes bleed.

1. go to Witcher 2 user.ini -> Disable Sharpening and Post AA
2. Inject SMAA or FXAA
3. Profit

Same here. I can't stare at it for long. Looks very unnatural. It's the visual counterpart to scratching the chalkboard with yer nails.

Which lines are the specific lines for sharpening and Post AA?

I might need to try Crysis 2 again. I didn't think the graphics were as good as Crysis 1 when it was first released but looks like they improved it a bit.

I would love to see Crysis 2 at max settings 1080p without any mods to get an idea of what the game might look like on say one of the budget alienware PCs?? No über sampling or mods...
