2012 High-Res PC Screenshot Thread of Don't Use Imgur

I haven't played NFS:MW but the screenshots wouldn't lie to us.

You're right, they wouldn't lie to us and Euro Truck looks pretty bad :P - Obvious budget title and in motion it's even worse. That game also only supports *shudders* MLAA. So it's not even ahead on the AA front.

Plus, despite me being a firm non-believer of the "In motion" statement, Most Wanted looks epic in motion whilst Euro Truck looks ... pretty bleh.

Dennis what is happening to you, WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THE REAL DENNIS!

@Spawn: I appreciate your efforts, but you're missing the High-Res part of the thread title.

EDIT: My bad, 1600 x 1000 at your flickr

After some tweaking and turning off some settings it's not as bad. We still need someone to find how to remove the postprocessing smudges filter that is done on purpose.

What's with the pixelated textures on the boot/trunk? Is that meant to be shadowing or something? Because whatever it is, it looks 100% arse.

Edit: I've always had luck in a lot of games by turning off motion blur. It's my preference in general, but it tends to help with graphical fidelity too, imo.

Believe it or not, but some car reflections are pixelated as hell.

That's a reflection? Yikes. I wonder if it's like that at all for the console versions.

Definitely appreciate your commentary and notes, Wanny. There are some very strange things going on with this game... I hope they fix them, both for people who have already bought it and for others who are contemplating it.

Is it that noticeable in-game, or just on that shot? I think I'd probably find it jarring, but of course I have no idea what it's actually like when it's moving.

I think the pixelated reflection happens because of visual damages only.

Edit: I confirm. It gets pixelated because of car deformations ONLY.

Whoever said it looks like a jaggy butt. Are there really that much jaggies in my shots?

Man the fidelity I get with these on my 4.8" screen at 720x1280 is insane. They're like photographs. How much would I have to super sample to get that pixel density? Or do I just get an ips monitor?

Yes there may be jaggies but it's the price to pay for removing all the blurs in the game.

Looking much better, how did you remove the blur?

edit : and the shit/dust filter as well.

Motion blur off removes the distant blurring. I sharpened through that damn FXAA with SweetFX and I'm downsampling (and no i don't get 60 fps all the time but I don't care anymore at this point). Dust filter still present... Don't know how to remove it.

How's the open world? More specifically, how are the cop chases integrated into it?

Really wanted to like Hot Pursuit because I loved the cop chases in MW '05 until I realized 90% of my enjoyment from that game was the cop chase integration with the open world, trying to elude cops by making sharp turns on tiny streets and taking weird routes and whatnot. HP 2010, by contrast, was basically Mario Kart.

I'm hoping MW '12 is a return to form of '05 but I kinda want to know. Are the chases more like '05 than HP '10?

Game looks gorgeous specially at sunset/night. Jaggies are less noticeable and the city/reflections come alive. I got a few of my own to share later.

My first go with Dolphin running SMG2. Lots of bugs, quirks, and performance issues, but for the sake of taking screenshots and seeing these games in >480p, it's a great tool. Makes me really yearn for all of these games in HD.
