I watch a lot of Heat basketball (living here, I kinda have to), and one thing the quick-to-spew-positive-hyperbole (like, won't lose 2 in a row, won't lose 8 games in a season, etc) so called experts never mention is how much Wade's shot has left him since Lebron joined. All those easy layups and uncontested fast break points may be the cause, but 3 yrs ago I would've told you he's one of the best midrange shooters in the game (a short list, sure), but it definitely doesn't come nearly as easily or naturally for him as it used to
I've thought this for a while now. In his MVP-candidate season, Wade pretty much perfected the pull up jumper from the wing. I remember how he would drive, step back and shoot from the wing. When James got here, he stopped using that. He brings it out every now and then, but his game now is all drive into the lane and try circus shots with the occasional dumb three. I'm not saying he's gotten worse or anything, it's just his approach has changed.

Will QA for food.
I wonder if Miami can get anything for Wade in the off season. They guy can't even hit a jump shot anymore. I thought him getting into Spo's face was completely uncalled for and embarrassing.

NBA executives are stupid, and the only remember highlight film. Plus, they're going to hope it fills their empty arena. A week ago people were referring to Wade as 'a top 5 player in the league'. Of course there's value.

Pacers offense is just disgusting.

Hibbert running PnR 18 ft out

Collison floating in no man's land routinely when he has no mid-range game

Paul George being... whatever he is

And most of all Vogel telling them that what they're doing is good basketball. Its not. Its everything wrong with Big10 Basketbrawl upscaled and brought to the NBA. I can't stand Miami - mainly for not living up to their potential. But what Indiana does is worse. I've ranted on it before here, but as a fan of basketball as a whole I can't watch this team.

Just glad that the Spurs follow and wash this horrible taste out of my mouth.

Collison might be the most singlehandedly mis-used player in the entire NBA.

It's fun when he tells vogell to go fuck him self and just takes over.

The Lebron Cycle™

DENIAL

Heres the thing- I think that you're totally wrong- the pressure stuff is all perception- not in his head. I'll bet anything that he comes out and is his normal self the next game, double double and 30+ points and we win.

DEPRESSION

Now I'm crying. I need a hug.

ACCEPTANCE

It means that this is a typical Lebron-lead team.

This game messed with my head so much that I am starting to believe that.

Western Conference Finals are going to be the only series that matters in this entire postseason.

The WCF should be made the Finals this year, with the winner being called the true Champion of the Basketball World*.

Whoever wins the Shameball Invitational can get a nice effort medal or something, you know like the ones they give to shitty little league soccer teams so they don't feel bad about themselves.

“They’re playing some good basketball. I’m not going to sit up here and pretend they’re not playing good basketball.” - Bron on Indy

Looks like Lebron is in the Acceptance stage himself.

They interview Bird about his Executive of the Year Award and he said one of the challenges was putting asses into the seats in order to sustain the franchise.

That was 2 hours ago!

I'm on my phone so I don't have a link, but Grantland had a column recently about the Pacers' dismal attendance. It's partially my fault because I've only been to one game in Indy. In my defense, I live in California.

His contract is bad and he's obviously on the decline. I'm not sure how much he will command. I don't even think he's a solid first option anymore. He'd have to go to a team like Chicago that needed a solid second option.

Spurs are getting great looks and missing all of them right now.

His jumper and defense are bad, but come on, he's still one of the best in the NBA in attacking the basket.

I'd just like to remind everyone my audacious bet against Adam last year:

For 3 straight Finals games I bet Lebron would have under 22 pts. I wanted 20 but we did 22 anyway. Needless to say, I was right every time.

I've never doubted Lefraudulence, and thats not going to stop with this Pacers series.

Thanks for pointing that out. It was decent article. I looked at some attendance statistics they linked to: can you believe the Pistons were the highest drawing home team only 3 years ago? damn.

Hey man there's no time to be arguing this nonsense with the Spurs only up single digits.

I don't think he has long left doing that. He doesn't look nearly as quick now as he did 2 seasons ago. He rely's on posting up more for his points around the basket.

He'd be terrible on Chicago. I mean, a lineup of Rose/Wade/Deng/Boozer/Noah? All five defenders on the opposing team would camp in the paint so long that they'd have to file for a change of address.

He'd be better on Chicago than he is on Miami. Especially since Rose is going to miss most of the year. They're going to have to find someone that can score.
