We'll mess it up though.
I'm starting to get the feeling that none of the teams in the Big Ten want to win the championship.

huge day of basketball in the state of nebraska. can't say i ever expected to see #nebrasketball trending, let alone be the top trending topic in the US.
I just looked at their schedule the rest of the way and they have a great shot to make the NCAAs with how favorable it is.
Penn State, Purdue, @Illinois, Northwestern, @IU (completely imploding right now), Wisconsin.
That might be the most favorable end to a conf schedule I've ever seen. Holy shit.
Yeah the font end must have been really brutal.
duke #5 bit of a joke eh
florida's is the only bracket i care to avoid
duke barely beat a shitty team as well...
Ok so should the losing teams have stayed put, or should a team lower than Duke have leapfrogged them?

I'm not. You originally pointed out Cuse's margin as a fault but ignored Duke's. Just pointing that out.You can't hold Duke beating Maryland by a point at home against them but not hold Syracuse beating State by a point at home against them.
By your logic, Syracuse shouldn't be ranked where they are either.

2004-05 Illini started 29-0 before losing to OSU in the last game of the regular season, on a miracle shot, lost in champ game to UNC that year
They shouldn't though. When a 5 loss team beats an average team, why does that mean they're better than a 3 loss team that lost to someone good?
look at their records, the teams above duke had a ways left to fall
Meh. I'd rather not get a shitty MSU team go on a run to get its ass kicked in by an ACC team.I'd wager that a one point win is always better than a 20 point loss no matter who's playing, but that's just me.
But like RF said, this debate is pointless. Duke will show their worth this week, for better or worse. Luckily it's not college football.
The polls are more about momentum and recent history than total body of work.
If Duke was in the other position and lost, but didn't drop in rankings, people would be outraged.
You're probably going to bring up the jump post-Syracuse loss in response to that, to which I'd reply they also won @ a ranked Pitt by 15 that week, and the performance against the soon to be #1 team at their house should speak for itself why it shouldn't be considered a "loss" by the voters.
Please cry moar about the game on Saturday Turtles. The win is forever and it only tastes better with salt.
If they wanted the benefit of the doubt with ACC refs, they shouldn't have sold out to the B1G. Otherwise GTFO and
Go Texas Tech!
