Clips have a good team now. With such good all-around players like Jordan and Griffen they can stay a team. LA has the old stars and will have plenty of cap room soon. Dwight will be perfect in Seattle away from the LA hype and fan demand and Kobe can retire in Seattle.

Plus Seattle is closer to Montana so Phil can coach from home in seattle and he can tell his wife to make the deal.

Make it happen Phil.

Huh?

$625 million for the Kings.

In a bidding war, what would the Lakers or Knicks sell for? Dodgers were $2 billion and I wonder if they could surpass that...

edit: and no revenue sharing ever!? holy shit. Either NBA franchises are making way more bank that anyone knows or Hansen just wants a team worse than Konex wants Kobe's semen.

I honestly believe that the Dodgers deal had more to do with rights to the land for a possible NFL franchise. $2 billion was so fucking crazy for that team. Knicks would only be sold with a joint deal that includes the Rangers, Liberty, and MSG inc.

Lakers is a tough one for me to comment on but the Dodgers being sold for that much has fucked up team values.

Anyone know of a convenient, legal way to watch games on a smart phone? I have an engagement party I have to go to during the Knicks game tomorrow night.

You can try the WatchESPN app. Not sure if they allow it for ABC games, though.

Don't disagree. But at $625 million and no rav sharing, that has to put the Lakers/Knicks up there. Obviously Knicks wouldn't be sold alone, just a hypothetical.

NBA's app might stream?

What TV provider do you have?

Also ESPN Radio should stream the game.

16: Anthony Davis
15: Paul George
12: Dirk
8: CP3
3: Curry

Simmons' Trade Value chart this year makes no sense. Paul George has to be the only defensive specialist perimeter player who is bad at scoring and is about to get an $80m contract who would ever be rated within 7 spots of the third best player in the NBA...

He only counts current contracts, not future.

Though still Davis should be above him.

How much better is George's defense than Hayward's? (I never watch the Pacers)

He's got a DRtg of 97 (tied with Hibbert on team) and 6.3DWS to 2.7OWS. He allows 89.4 points per 100 poss while on the floor.

I won't even bother listing Hayward's defensive stats.

I stopped caring about DRtg when it said that Boozer was our best defender.

Was more of a question for IWMTB, who actually watches.

Oh look at that, it says Al Jefferson is our 2nd best defender.

DRtg wasn't the only stat I listed, fool.

The Pacers are 2.7 points per 100 possessions worse defensively with him on the bench.

Both.

I think this has a lot to do with the Sonics history expiring deal in July, and they know that Bennett would go as low as wanting a history for their team that they never had, like you could buy the past.

If they don't get a team this year, no one knows how the Sonics history will be.

Opponent production are about the same, 12.0 vs 11.2 .. except Hayward is better against 2's.

advanced stats for defense are stupid.

Where are you getting your stats Reilo? 82games says he allows 100 points per 100 posessions.. not even close to 89.

Sorry. Mixed up his floor time stats by position.

Either way, he's significantly better defensively than Hayward.

George is ridiculously good defensively and can switch and help better in the half-court than Hayward.

I think Hayward hasn't had the impact that he could have defensively because our guards and Al were turnstiles and we ran a really basic defensive scheme and encouraged our perimeter players to leak out in transition all the time. I think Hayward's rebounding issues (which lead to him having such low DWS) are purely scheme-based.

George's offense is just really meh and I wonder how good you can be as a perimeter player if you're not that good at scoring. I wonder if he's really overrated or the only Deng-like player who is properly rated instead of being really underrated (though Deng is overrated by the coaches as well...)

New Orleans trading Davis for George is laughable.

Sucks.

Am at work until 830 then have to go to a pre-planned going away dinner for a friend who is moving out of town (to ATL). Probably won't see him for a while after tonight so can't ditch on him.

At least it will be amazing steak. Wanted to be home and just watch both games. DVR and avoiding updates on my phone it is.

If both the Sac Kings and the hypothetical Seattle Sonics are willing to forgo revenue sharing then the smart thing to do would be to go ahead and expand to 32 teams. They'd be splitting more revenue among the same amount of teams, even if the 32nd team got split revenue.
