I'm not trying to take anything away from the Bulls, its actually the opposite- I think that they have a great defense and their bigs are a decent matchup for us- so it's not some extra "effort" or "grit" that's keeping them in this.

It just seems to me that people are shocked that the game is close, and in an effort to explain that which they do not understand, they point to intangibles such as grit/effort.

Not saying their play tonight is uncharacteristic for them or any big revelation. I simply don't see their games often during the season so I appreciate the effort they've put in here in the postseason on defense and with hustle plays.

Plus, with the way some teams in the playoffs play, this is a nice change of pace.

Not really shocked necessarily, though. Didn't Chicago halt Miami's long winning streak towards the end of the season?

Yeah, a healthier Bulls team ended the streak. I actually don't take issue with anything you wrote, Bulls are definitely a well-coached, high energy team.

Yeah, Thibs is great.

Would love to see a fully healthy Bulls team play in this series (Rose included). Miami still wins probably, but it'd be a great series.
