Told you guys yesterday, Germany CAN actually give away a match in group phase (esp the 2nd one) and Ghana wasn't a walk in the park as expected.
Idiot of the match: Thomas "We're here to win the cup, not to break records" Müller who failed to stretch his leg and make the goal TWICE.
Come Miroslav Klose whose first action in the game is to stretch his leg out to make the goal, only one away from shattering the record. Had Klose been in Müllers place during his attempts we'd have won this. Seems like Karma was a bitch today for Müller.
Now USA - Por...GO USA! Win this and then meet us next week for a friendly match for first place in the group. Don't think that Ghana would be able to take Portugal 5-0, so IF you guys win against Portugal Germany is like 99% set for the KO round as well
(If not we'll have the most nerve-wrecking 3rd day imaginable with parallell matches where anyone could make it. Getting pumped just thinking about it, but I'd prefer security over adrenaline)

After today, I expect the US - Portugal game to go either way. That said, there's never going to be a better shot for the US to beat them than they're about to get. I've got all my fingers and toes crossed for this one.

I really am loving this World Cup, shows how bad the last one was.
They should have could have, either way it was a fair result. Both teams were in for the win and that was what made it fun. No one was holding back.

It's not so much that the last one was bad as much as it is that this World Cup is excellent. We all knew Brazil would be the special tournament.

If Ronaldo feels inspired, then you guys are fucked! If Jermaine Jones plays like he did against Ghana, then you have a chance of winning the game. Dempsey better wear that mask though. He 's likely to injure himself again like Muller last night.
The US can hold its own against Portugal, but i also have a feeling the Portuguese are feeling pretty good after yesterdays game. They now also have a chance to even top the group if they beat the USA and Ghana. Anything can happen from here.

Götze winning MotM is a joke.
Wish Löw would remove 3 Bayern players, Kroos, Götze and Boateng and replace them with Schweinsteiger, Klose and Schürrle. A proper FB with Lahm would have done wonders against Ghana.
Atsu destroyed Höwedes on the left side, build up play by both him and Boateng was terrible, Mustafi was offensively and defensively terrible.
Götze always slows down the pace and is too focused keeping ball movement in tight spaces, with his dribblings and his passing.
Also don't understand why Khedira is the most offensive DM. Give that role to Schweinsteiger. Kroos can't play it either since he usually only occupies Özil's space Khedira needs to know his goddamn place. He should have been the guy who stops the counter attacks. Instead he runs upfront although he is lacking the technical abilities to process any ball with his first touch and is unable to do any counter-pressing since he's too much up front.
Schweinsteiger is the only DM bringing any kind of danger to the goal inside and close to the box. Kroos more of a long shot guy, Lahm not taking any shot from anywhere.
I just can't shake the feeling that Löw is completely botching this up.
