My game crashes if I run Widescreen fixer and launch Dark Souls. So I guess I'm SOL.



Right now you can have one or the other. Freecam and no pause. Or pause and no freecam.

I'm trying to fix that.

My darksouls crashes when trying to do the whole 16:10 fix too.

Does Remember me offer a lot of those carefully composed scenes, or do you people search for those in that game? I feel like the ratio of random/composed shots in that game is much more in favor of the compositions than in most games posted here.

You should be able to run it in windowed mode, and then set the resolution manually in the games config file. At that point, you can set your desktop resolution to 5120x2160, set the games window size to 5120x2160, then run borderless windowed mode.

Finally able to try that. In DarkSouls.ini I set a manual windowed mode resolution (5120x2160). Same as my DSFix output resolution. The game launches in a 3840x2160 window. Changing the window size just stretches it.

I'd rather stick to the current steam version so if widescreen fixer ever gets updated, great. But for now.... cropping (uuuuuuuuugh)

Disable Windows DEP should fix the framerate unlock issue.

Enter this in command prompt with admin privledges

bcdedit /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

Then restart your PC.

Oh believe me i've tried, crashing still persists. Don't worry about it, software has the tendency to fuck me over at almost every possible moment due to my os being absolutely bollocksed. Unfortunately I can't be bothered reinstalling with my terrible 0.5 dl and 0.03 upload speeds, would take years to get back all my data :[

There are definitely a lot of scenes already ready and begging to be screenshot in RM, it certainly has a great backdrop for some interesting images to be composed though as well.

If I find a scene interesting, I spend a bit of time viewing it from different angles to see what the possibilities are for setting up an interesting shot. Having control of the camera to survey and then to place it in position and maneuver Nilin into position is a game unto itself though. =)

Probably why I'm not that far into the story yet and have already racked up over 20hrs.

^ I haven't played the game but can only assume that the level attachment on the side of the rifle is for doing renovations on door's that have been breached in the line of duty!

It's got a lot of composed scenes, as well as nice camera placement, already, but for most of my newer shots, I've be flying all over the place to get ones nobody's seen before. For Example:

That Guts mod has been in there for a long time. I only used the dragonslayer one tho because who gives a fuck about guts' old sword, and i want to be a pretty animu princess not some awesome character who the mangaka decides to not draw a single fucking chapter for a year, instead drawing a chapter of some wrestling manga with a loli insinuating rubbing her face and/or peeing on the dude's face to heal him after a fight.

I know these kinda look a little like ass, but my computer sucks deal with it. High res thread, not artistic as fuck thread.

I found the lowest strength setting pretty much avoided that all together while still having a nice effect.

I've used 4 different 1080p monitors all capable of 4K. But I couldn't do 4K on them until I got a Kepler card (GTX 600 series or later).
