Dallas has outplayed Anaheim in stretches this series, but when they haven't it's been Lehtonen that's been the difference maker. Tonight was exactly the case. I don't know what caused Anaheim to do what they did in the 2nd period onwards, but I'm going to put it down to Boudreaus coaching decisions.
Would Selanne have made a difference on the ice? Not on the stats sheet. But he might have been able to inject some calm.
Wouldn't have stopped Garbutt from his antics though.
The funny part is that the PDO monster bit Anaheim tonight, and if they had had OK-to-decent goaltending, they might have won. Ironic as hell considering we've been jacking off our goaltenders all year. Andersen back in net in G5.
Also now that it's been 2 games in Dallas, can the Dallas fans please stop chanting HILLERRR at Andersen? It's LA levels of embarassing.
Other good news, the refs obviously have zero tolerance on embellishment. Took an Allen penalty to realise it, but better ever than never.
