Just pointing out how many people counted them out of it before the playoffs even started. Seemed pretty obvious they had the ability to make some noise.
None of the Ducks fans counted them out, that's for sure. Just like Detroit last year, this is the worst opponent we could have gotten for our team.
The franchise/brand has already won big with this series. Getting to a game 6 and having three games at the AAC has really energized the fan base and that'll pay huge for new and repeat season ticket sales next season. The drought came at the worst time too: Cowboys aren't winning but are still huge obviously, Mavs have a title, and the Rangers have been to two World Series since the Stars were in the playoffs last. It's easy to forget about hockey when the team is only on the back page of the Dallas Morning News every day.
Hopefully they advance but Dallas has a long way to go from the absolute shit-show (discipline wise) that was game 5 on Friday.

Dallas are playing way better than they did during the regular season right now. They have glaring holes just like the Avs do and how many people counted them out before the season started? Predicting how well a team is going to play even with their problems is always a coin toss, predicting how well a team will do based on their roster is typically a safe bet.

Right, they were very nearly not even in the picture. End of season push was impressive but assuming that would continue wasn't as obvious as some are saying.

But why is that? Are people just forgetful?
Two years ago the kings had to play hot to get that 8th seed, and they go on to win the cup. Last year Detroit had to play hot to get into the playoffs, and knocked out ANA and took Chicago 7 games. This year Dallas had to play hot to get 8th, and have a good chance of beating the #1 seed.

Because not every team is the same. Dallas didn't even have a winning record this season and the wings have far more experience in the playoffs than Dallas does.
