2015 Console Screenshot Thread (PS4, XB1, Wii U) [READ OP!]

Are there spoiler rules in this thread? One of these Until Dawn shots is showing off some late game reveals. Luckily I've finished the game -- but this would suck for someone seeing these shots in this thread without having played it. Can you just throw tags around some of the more revealing shots, please.

7. Spoilers: Please do not post major plot points from games released in the last 2 months.

It's been more than 2 months. Major spoilers should be banned entirely (or posted in spoiler tags), but that's just my opinion. :)

I agree, I'm waiting for Black Friday to buy UD and that picture certainly ruined the surprise for me, it should always be tagged, if not than 2 months is not enough, MOD should allow spoilers only after a year at least, 2 months is nothing, not everyone buy games new.

I agree. Sometimes I like to wait a while for some patches to release before I buy. Two months is too soon, and tbh I don't think major spoilers should be allowed at all without spoiler tagging them.

speaking of spoilers I have a feeling i'm being spoiled of every location in ROTR

Yeah, that's the downside of timed exclusives, and the reason why both Bioshock and ME2 were spoiled for me. That's why I haven't visited the thread that much lately, as I wait for the TR posts to cease eventually.

EDIT:

I haven't bought the game yet either. For once I'm glad the PNGs load so slowly, as I saw the mention about spoilers before the actual images. I've been adding users who post spoilers (EDIT.2: including cutscenes) to ignore list for some time, because if they post spoilers now they're likely to do so in the future as well.

You can disable showing images in the site's settings, that is if you don't mind that you have to manually click on every link to a jpg, png or a gif. It helps to avoid spoilers and to load the pages faster.

Spoilered it even though it's not breaking rules. I do agree the length of time before posting them should be increased, don't agree they should never be posted.

The spoiler shouldn't ruin anyone's playthrough if seen already.

My edit above is another solution to the problem.

Disabling images would work on this thread, as I'm not interested in all the games featured here. It wouldn't work so well with other threads though.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be passive aggressive there, I just didn't want to quote it to perpetuate my issue. Thanks for tagging that though, and I too would personally a wider spoiler window -- especially considering games like Rise of the Tomb Raider, which we won't see of PS4 for a while, or even games like Assassin's Creed which PC players won't have the opportunity to play for a while (I know it's a console thread, but it's a seemingly valid concern). Of course they should be shown, I just feel tags are the safest way to go, maybe just throw in a Chapter number for reference, too, if it's an early reveal.

In the mean time, I'll do this.

This only works if posters clearly indicate what images are free to click though.

As a general rule, i think putting spoilers here doesn't make a lot of sense; only people who played and finished the game are immune to spoilers (and those who never planned to play a game anyway), but those are also the least interested in seeing screenshots i guess ?

As usual, best of both worlds is spoiler tagging images.

It's all good. :) Was lucky I seen your post before I bailed for the night. Updated it with the Chapter details.
