you know, i think PDZ still looks pretty good. vsync is a nice addition. now if only the framerate were better

If Wii U shots run through post processing are allowed, why wouldn't BC shots be?

They have to look the same, converting a Jpeg to a PNG doesn't alter the image (it wont enhance it).

The bits/data is the same regardless of the container. One of the Batman pics went from 450Kb jpg to 2.5MB png. It does help sometimes. For example, if I set my background on Windows 8 and 10 as a jpg, I will see artifacts. If I convert it to png and use that, the artifacting is all gone. But yes, a direct png is can be better.

Jpeg is lossy. You loose information to get the image size smaller. This loss of imformation can be noticed via compression artifacts. Converting from jpeg to png will not remove the artifacts but use the recovered image with the artifacts and compress it to the lossless compression png uses.

All you do is increasing filesize, the quality is the same because the source is already altered by DCT kompression algorithm, which in turn is the reason why PNG becomes bigger in filesize as its compression method tries to maintain every detail of the image and has to incorporate the added/changed information introduced by DCT (which is needed for making Jpeg smaller). There are methods of removing Jpeg compression artefacting and they do not belong to the PNG standard, they can be found in image editing software but don't work all that well.

(someone with better knowledge on the matter, feel free to correct any bullshit I may have written here)

Auto-Reply I see you are using PtBi. Mine is currently set to 720p60. What do I need to change for it to work at 1080p30 or 1080p06? I can't see where I get the command line.

Edit: Worked it out. Time to try some shots.

Press "0" to set the scaling to 1080p, to change the refreshrate press "H". There is a documentation in the files, it should be the keys.ini.

Edit: you already got it.
Edit 2: Also, I don't know what your setup is (TV or Monitor? Full RGB/Limited RGB?) "R" is the key to change between them, if you think your picture looks washed out or too dark, try that.

Oh, I see. Okay then, I thought it would correct some things like it does when I use png for a background instead of jpg.

Maybe Windows is doing something to it, I do not know about that. Under "normal" circumstances, a simple conversion shouldn't change any visual qualities at all when you go from Jpeg to PNG.

Started a replay on Blood and Broken Bones. For a console version, this game is still constantly flooring me in how good it looks. Still shots don't really do it justice...

I can't wait to get my hands on the PC version once I've upgraded my GPU.

I don't want to disrespect anyone, but does not impress me anything graphically. It seems good, but nothing more.

Why do those shots look so blurry, it seems to have lots of CA and a noise filter.

Share compression is horrible

Saw these on xbl, if you push the start button just before taking the screenshot it removes the HUD.

Oh, cool. Thanks! I am finally getting around to beating this game after neglecting it for months. It's so awesome. I played for like 4 hours today which is a ton in one day for me.

Judging by the screenshots you're pretty close to the end. Probably an hour or so left.
