Imaging what SE could do with a new age graphics engine in a game built like FFX makes my innards weep because it'll never happen. Game looks this good using uprezzed 15 year old assets.

It looks alright, obviously still pretty primitive, but I believe that they could really get close to the Luminous Engine's tech demo if they would try to do a very linear FF with it.

Too bad that FF XV is open world so we wont get to see the engine's full visual potential, like with MGS5's Fox Engine in a way (though, both are still beautiful games)

I'd assume it would look like a cleaned up Lost Odyssey. Which is by no means a bad thing.

Those pics already look like a cleaned up LO. I'd assume a true linear turn based rpg like FFX with a current gen engine would look a lot better than open world FFXV.

It does but you can't hide HUD and there's a lot of indication marks and tips popping in the screen. It's not good for screenshots!

You can actually hide the HUD by going to the video capture mode and playing like that.

I just like photomode because I can have fun with the compositions.
