Andersen has always been the kind of goalie who responds to a shitty performance like that by playing better... Rather than spiraling into despair like Hiller. I think he'll be fine going forward.

Here's my serving. This is just a half knuckle and it has as much meat on it as three of my fists. It looks way smaller than it is, most of the meat is on the other side. I wanted to focus on that amazing crackling on top... I could eat an entire plate filled just with that. A group at a table next to us got a knuckle that was maybe five times bigger than this one was. Insanity.

My wife got the special roast suckling pig. It was even better than the knuckle, but the skin didn't compare. There was even more pork on this plate than on mine. Those slices are each probably an inch or two deep, maybe a bit more.

Thank you for the recommendation, Smiley. I've had pork knuckles before, but this one was the best. The seasoning was perfect, and the char on it from the coals was amazing. It went especially well with Franziskaner... But then, everything does. We also had apple fritters that they covered in orange schnapps and lit on fire. Those were also amazing. I'll be going back on future trips.
