Very bad showing. Even Scalebound, the only XBO exclusive I really care for, looked unappealing.

We Happy Few looked boss and Dead Rising ok. Everything else was really weak. They really need to expand their first party capabilities. It's getting embarrassing

No real surprises except We Happy Few which was not a new announcement

I guess Forza looked good if you're into racing games

Meh conference.

Forza looks amazing.
Gears looks good.
Scalebound, not so much
FFXV, nah
Recore, ok
New XBL features sound cool
No crackdown footage WTF
Too much time spent with indies who had nothing amazing to show
New hardware looked cool
Dead Rising and State of Decay 2 were to be expected.
Sea of Theives looked really nice

No surprises, no new MGS IP

In general, I liked the games I saw. But there was very little "wow"

good summary

I can't imagine anyone being excited for the Xbox Scorpio with the boring lineup of games Microsoft showed off today. I fell asleep. So you have a system with 6 Teraflops. What the heck are you going to play on it? The Xbone One doesn't even have one game worth playing and now a new system is coming out. I would rather have a system with 6 good games that 6 Teraflops, but it seems like most gamers today care about Teraflops more than good games.

I actually think this is one of their worse conference ever. No new exciting games. And ms is not stepping outside their halo/gears/forza comfort zone.

They had new games mixed in with their regular IP's, my particular issue is that they never seem to have a few more up their sleeve after showing the known stuff.

As for the Halo/Gears/Forza thing, I wished some of you guys could look past that and see a potentially awesome RTS, open world racer, and 3rd person shooter that are typically attached to quality as Microsoft pillar franchises.

That's boring. I'm getting rid of my Xbox One tomorrow.

lol. E3 always brings this out of people. I love it.

Like everyone said, the leaks killed their wow factor.

i do not agree with this. whether or not there were leaks that lineup was all but expected. i don't see anything out of the blue there. it was a solid conference that was well presented and the scorpio stuff was handled well but as far as content goes there was nothing shocking or mind blowing

They said what you're going to play on it--the best versions of every multi platform title "in 4K at 60fps" and in VR. And if that's not enough, stick with the cheaper model and get stuff 900p30 or whatever. The point isn't the Scorpio, the point is moving to iterative hardware so that two years from now when they announce the Xbox One Gigaton you are conditioned to understand what your options are and what your expectations should be

Considering that pretty much everything was leaked It's not really a surprise that people weren't surprised. Definitely killed the hype for MS E3 but everything they showed still looks really awesome. Here are some of my favorites:

- That storm in GoW4 was bad ass, loved seeing enemy corpses blown away.

- Forza Horizon 3 looks like it has an incredible amount of variety, I loved the beach racing.

- Scalebound looks cool as hell, I want to ride a dragon

- Sea of Thieves is the game I never knew I always wanted.

- Customizable controller color schemes = Seahawks colors inbound

- Scorpio sounds beastly and I can't wait to buy one

Well, the Scorpio is not coming out until holiday 2017 so there's plenty of time to show new games within this timeframe.

Thought that was a pretty great conference. The indie titles all look amazing. Recore and Inside release dates are huge for me. Did Below get one?

was there any doubt? from the moment it launched it was a wreck. The fact they managed to salvage the xbox brand at all is impressive.

I mean I got one after they dropped the kinect and changed a bunch of stuff. I'm pretty happy with what they've done with the UI and the games are good so it wasn't a total failure imo but I recognise it isn't great. Scorpio looks promising.

No Crackdown 3, no mention of cloud - and honestly no new surprises for Xbox One owners. With all the benefits of Live coming to PC (and for free) along with all the games - whats the point of owning an Xbox One exactly?

some people don't want PCs. I don't know why that's such a hard concept to understand on this forum.

Man, after that Scorpio introduction, Sony better bring their A-game tonight. Their messaging was extremely on point and I loved it.

Crazy how the rhetoric changes when it's Sony releasing the potentially underpowered console. Jesus.

I think that you don't get it. The Xbox One did not lose because it was not as powerful...It lost because it was not as powerful, released at the same time as its direct competitor, was more expensive, had awful policies attached to it and suffered from a pretty terrible reveal/initial campaign...

The conference was mediocre, by the way...

All of this plus Recore and play anywhere made for a great conference.

Is the cross-pc play going to be for ALL exclusives going forward?

I don't want them to pull some bullshit with Halo 6 down the line and ask me to buy a scorpio for one game.

They clearly stated that all xbone games would be compatible with xbone, xbone s, and Scorpio.

However, things change so maybe they will go back on that. But for right now, they are promising not to do that.

What? Were you asleep while they showed off Recore, Sea of Theives, and Scalebound?

If you're not interested in those games that's fine, but don't pretend that they're not showing anything besides Halo Gears and Forza.

This, people get selective amnesia real quick sometimes.

Even with all the leaks, this was the best Xbox conference I've seen.
Except for Recore and FFXV demos, ugh.

I'm guessing he meant games that weren't already a known quantity? Best I can come up with.

I liked the hardware announcements; scorpio should be pretty interesting. I won't be getting a XO-S so that is not for me

the games were just ok.....if ReCore and Scalebound showed better, it would have been a much better conference overall. Given the hardware focus on this conference, we still have time for other venues to discuss additional software.

I think the conference was fine. I'm happy with almost everything shown. Yes, there were some games that showed poorly. But ultimate I think ms is looking at xbox more as a platform than a console now. And I'm fine with that. I'm lucky enough to own all the consoles and a gaming rig. And now I get to play all this ms exclusives with my buddies thanks to Play Anywhere.

Wait, so Xbox games are gonna be on PC too now. That's awesome! But does that mean I'm gonna need a Live subscription to play those games online? Because that would kill it for me.

This is what I want to know as well, I'm happy with the PC support and that a new more powerful console (From both MS and Sony) will push the "target specs" higher for games in general (Which will allow those with high end PCs to take more advantage of cool graphical features and not be as held back by old consoles). For real though, I don't want to Sub to Live to play Gears 4 online with friends.

They've said before online play on PC will be free.

I thought it was a great conference. I was surprised about Kinda Funny and Colin thinking it was as well. Everything looked fun. Announcing Scorpio this E3 was an interesting move.

GFWL is free on PC ala Steam.

I was expecting more quality out of Recore like the recent R&C but seems to be a budget indie thats attempting to be a 3D combat/shooter.

So basically they showed us everything they showed us last year with some small additions?

Really disappointed to be honest. I mean I am excite for the games but was expecting some new big reveals.

The actual presentation was solid, but there were zero surprises as usual for MS. Not very interested in most games shown. Insider could be good? I dunno. Scalebound looked cool, but I'm afraid it's gonna be too multiplayer focused. We Happy Few looked intriguing. DR4 looked cool. That's about it for me.

I thought Microsoft had a solid show, leaks or not. The games running in video form did far more to impress people than any thing else. I think the biggest thing that disappointed me was people who kept saying there'd be a feature announced that was far bigger than BC on Xbox One- that never happened.

Just got finished watching it. Was just about to give it a shit grade, but Scorpio at the end saved it, even if we knew it was coming.

recore looked cool the We Happy game looked awesome Scalebound looked eh ok. Sea of Thieves looks amazing its prob the only game I really care about from Microsoft. I hope Microsoft understands that I have already invested tons of money into PS4 games so I will prob skip the scorpio for a while after launch will prob get neo first only bc well investment. It does sounds powerfull but its all about video games not power if they can get the best video games then sure.
