I'm in awe every time I play RotTR.

Meh, I thought that the graphics in the main two hubs were lacking quite a bit. Especially the later night landscape scenes with completely unrealistic and flat lighting. Plus I took several shots without Lara in them and they where all completely underwhelming. So cutscenes assets and Lara's model in general are top notch, no doubt, but the rest of the game and especially the main hubs where you spend the most of your playthrough are somewhat not very good in my opinion. Loads and loads of aliasing don't help either.

Also - two shots per post, three consecutive posts max.

Ah, thanks for the heads up. First time posting in thread should have read the OP.

Playing through Rise of the Tomb Raider is such a mixed bag. Many times it looks jaw dropping. Especially Lara. She is one of if not the best character models I have ever seen.

And some of the tombs and crypts look so great.

But the hub areas look so bland, and really not much of an improvement over 2013/DE.

Then there are all together blatant missing effects, like when I am wading through waist high water, there is no effect on the water at all, it is as if nothing is touching it. That kind of inconsistency can be jarring. Especially because the camera comes in close and FOCUSES on these oversights, making it impossible to miss.

That said, all is forgiven, because Lara looks amazing and I cant stop taking screenshots.

The hub areas are a areal bummer. I just got to the Geothermal Valley and the visuals aren't much better than the Soviet Installation. But the tombs....

I only grabbed a few quick shots last night.

Great looking areas though.

I agree. Rise of TR has had moments where the visuals really connect to look astounding, but more often than not, the game really comes across as a stellar looking 360 game. It really hasn't yet made me consider 'this is next-gen', and the larger hub areas do look most disappointing in a sense.

The Witcher 3

I'm finding it difficult to get the hang of liftgammagain so I'm still messing about with it to try and balance the blue and green.

God knows what's up with the pixellated sky.

May I ask, how did you guys get rid of the HUD in those The Division shots, at least this "Beta" with your name thing was on screen all of the time for me...

The name is there no matter what. You could disable the hud if you disabled the radar and didn't select any mission. If you then didn't want the name, you picked a high, wide resolution and cropped the picture so the name is cropped out ;) Wall hugging could be used to get rid of the player model. It was some work, but it was doable.
