228HP now. I like the design. Hopefully they filled the midrange torque dip.

The outside styling is great, but I'm not a fan of the aftermarket looking infotainment system. Anyway that doesn't matter here in Europe, because we won't be getting this car as a result of very strict emissions regulations (same with the new Nissan 400Z unfortunately).

We‘ll get the Toyota GR86 though...

Don't really like the new design and it's once again underpowered.
The previous design with some more power under the hood would have been a much better idea.

*looks at front* ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh ohhhlalala looks cute!

*looks at rear* Really????? They didn't stick to their iconic rear?

I'm planning to buy the BRZ as my 1st purchased car sometime next year. Yet, looks like i'll stick to the older generation. Also, underpowered too.

I sort of dig it but these things are way to expensive for the power they have.

For a daily driver and livability, I would prefer an Ecoboost Mustang for about the same price. Although it's heavier, it has a much better interior and more power.

I'm also 6'3" so it would be infinitely more comfortable but that won't apply to everyone.

The biggest problem with the Mustang is that it is boringly common and that's why I've never been in the market for one.

I dig the design but It doesnt exactly scream unique to me. Idk if thats a good or bad thing?

People complaining about power are probably the same guys getting passed by Miata's during trackdays

Relax! More power would be nice but its gotta slot below the low spec Supra

Last time I test drove a Mustang it was pretty cramped but we’re talking about 10 years ago.
Yah I’m a almost 6’4” so I hate the feeling of being squeezed into something that feels cramped, one of the reasons I drive a Infinity G37 , it still has a lot of pep , handles well and is very comfortable but has 4doors
Getting a bit older but still drives and looks great.

I’m a big subaru guy. Have had like 7 now. Mostly WRXs. I just can’t get into the BRZ looks.

I drive a VW Golf R because I just do not fit well in a 370z which was a car I lusted after for years. That and you can actually see out of a Golf, still get groceries, seat four comfortably, have an interior that doesn’t look like a rental car, and it’s still quicker than the 370z. Can’t say I really have had the desire to get anything different either.

I live in MA and last time I saw a Mustang was a few years ago, you barely see an American car (non Tesla I mean) unless it is a truck, Jeep Wrangler or a large SUV like a Tahoe.
If you buy a Mustang here, chances are you will be driving it for weeks until you see another one. :messenger_grinning:

That is crazy. Here in AZ it is mustang central they are all over the damn place.

Interesting redesign for the BRZ.

Hmmm the more I look at it the less I like it. First impression was wow that's nice. Comparing it to the old model and it just looks less unique and more 370z/cayman/corvette mish-mash. Not sure if like.

Still wish they made AWD turbo and RWD turbo versions :(. One of the biggest missed opportunities in recent motoring history IMO. Underpowered for what it is, had the potential to be an absolute weapon.

No thanks. And still no turbo. I could forgive the looks if it had a turbo with over 250hp.
The Supra 2.0 already has that market covered with 255hp at $43k.

The BRZ/86 has a great low center of gravity and are great handling cars. A little gas in a turn and a little flick of the wrist and some counter steering...super easy to get these things sideways and easily recover. Fun cars to drive and you literally feel like you can reach out the window and touch the apex of a corner with your hand. The STI and TRD versions of these vehicles are the way to go. They make great track cars or fun sporty daily drivers in the sub 40k range.

Hope they bump i before launch, way too small of a increase.I feel like they're reigning it in to keep the WRX still appealing. This doesn't bode well for the next WRX/STI.If the BRZ is 228, the new WRX will probably be 300 and the STI 350 -400 tops.It also looks worse, the current refresh looks good.
