It's that time of the year again gaf. When the eyes of the internet descend on the forum to see what the finest people rate the game of the year. We're sticking with last year's voting platform, but have changed to a two round voting system. Everyone will vote for their nominees, which can be any game released in 2024. After this round of voting closes, a second round of voting will commence where users will vote again in each category from a list of the top games selected in the nomination process. This change is being made to strike a balance where people are free to vote on whatever game they want to see represented without feeling like their vote won't count when tallied against the big hitters.

Deadlines:
Voting for round 1 will run from 16th December to 5th January
Reaction to the above will run from 6th January to 12th January
Voting from Shortlist will run from 13th January to 30th January
Results will be posted on 31st January

I found it just searching "Rise" but it looks like there's a character issue with Rise of the Ronin that would prevent people finding it if they include the "Ronin" part.

Here is mine. The only game I haven't played in the list is Metaphor, but for those categories is fair enough.

Nine Sols is my GOTY. Aside from being a great game overall, the moment I beat the true final boss was one of the highlight of the year for me. The sheer satisfaction was just incredible.

I have skipped most AAA releases as it was mostly a boring year on that side.

We are going to leave Erdtree as an option, however, but other DLC less than a full expansion will not be considered. We don't want to open up a can of worms that we won't have time to support. Hope that makes sense.

My list, I was pleased with the year, there were a lot of interesting games.

The only thing I had to add was Stalker 2 to the "bought but didn't play" section. I don't have a habit of buying games and not finishing them, this was just the only game this year that I quit after about 10 hours of playing and didn't finish. That's why it was the most suitable for this section.
