Aw come the fuck on. Clearly no military advisors attached to this show. Air force one has more than sufficient ability to defend itself from aSINGLE sidewinder, sparrow, or amram missile. Considering that it has 4 escorts sitting next to it that can jam the missile and fire chaff and flare decoys, there is little chance of a good strike on the plane.

Especially considering the missile is being fired by a plane that isn't designed to be an air-to -air fighter. The F-117 is a fighter in name only. It is designed to hit ground targets!

For years there has been this running debate(outside of military circles) about exactly what Air Force One is capable in terms of defending itself.... this though definitely of REALLY course stretches things...(why with 5 fighters would 1 not drop back?)... but I'll go along to see what happens.

Then again we didn't think a strike like 9/11 was possible in this day and age either(I know completely different thing... but I think you know where I'm trying to say).

Nah, once the doors open - the F-117 is just as visible as most other aircraft and all of them would have had an opportunity to jam, attract, engage the missile. The missile doesn't have any stealth characteristics and once the F-117 opens the bays, it doesn't either.

Just like the radar signature of AF1 and its escorts is hard to spot, so is the active seeker head of a missile. Your electronics light up like a christmas tree. Generally this is when the automated chaff/flare/special jammers kick in so you can evade.

But I guess I'll just roll with it, though the lack of flashbangs on an assault while jack runs through there with a windbreaker shows clearly that they aren't really trying to be all that authentic Its like when they are sitting there with the laptops saying "I can't stop it from deleting" I'm just sitting there saying - "unplug and remove the battery - it'll stop real quick".
