The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) is pleased to announce the nominees for its 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards (#DICEAwards), the video game industry’s premier, peer-juried awards show co-hosted by Greg Miller (Kinda Funny Games) and Stella Chung (IGN). The winners will be revealed at the 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony, the culmination of the week-long industry gathering at the 2024 D.I.C.E. Summit (#DICE2024) that will be livestreamed by our official media partner, IGN, on Thursday, Feb. 15 from the Aria Resort in Las Vegas.

Lost me with FF16 not being top or even included in “Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition”. You can exclude that game in any category you want and hate the game all you want, but to not even have it in the top 5 in this category…you lost any kind of relevance or respect I had for your opinion.

That GOTY list having cocoon on there is so fucking LOL. It isn’t that level of an indie game from what I played before I dropped it. Cmon now.

The design is fascinating and far more interesting than playing the game itself because of how they gated areas so players couldn't get stuck which is both unfortunate and understandable. Even still, I can see why it would be appreciated by the awards committee.

Yeah. I really enjoyed SM2, but it being in soundtrack over FF16 makes zero sense. Also, Starfield for Art Direction is pretty weak.

Baldur's Gate 3 not nominated for music is some kind of a weird joke I mean I can't tell you the last time I read so many (positive) comments about a game's soundtrack without even looking for them (aka going to a track from the game on youtube).
