It didn't really occur to me, but that other league is going to be tough as hell.

There are people that are going to have to start a backup running back every single week. There could even be those unlucky enough (or with bad enough draft strategy) to not get a single starting back. Then there are wideouts and the people that are going to be starting the Chiefs defense.

League 1 sucks! Our league rules, doods!

Because you're trying to register the league in Fantasy Football Plus and not regular, cheap-o Fantasy Football which is hotlinked in fine print.

ahh i finally got to chose midnight green...now if i can only get my GA nick to be changed to that....

The draft is Sunday, August 22nd at 2:30. I picked a date fairly far from now so if someone goes down in training camp or the first game or two of the pre-season, you dont draft him (although there's still a chance it could happen in the game or two after).

Yeah....Nothing against DM or anyone in that league..But 20 is far too much. Most leagues have 12 as the max. 10-12 is the norm. Since it's with GA people it won't matter as much, but dayum, we're gonna have the 40th pick in the second round :p

last yr in my friends league i couldnt attend the draft but it didnt matter. won the league anyway.


got lucky as i randomly got the first pick and it was holmes.

• Your live online draft is set for Sun Aug 22 11:30am PDT [ Add to My Calendar ], which is 34 days 32 minutes from now (test your system). Please arrive at least 10 minutes early since your draft will start promptly at the assigned time. You can pre-rank your players at any time.
• The draft order will be randomly determined approximately 30 minutes before the draft begins.

this seems as a good a place to discuss this:


in another league of mine we already had our draft and the following trade has been proposed to me...

i trade garcia, l coles, and duece mcallister for mcnabb, dante hall, and rudi johnson.

i have been hesitant only because im not sure about johnson in his sophomor yr in terms of success and duece is one of the tops. another thing is that i know hall wont be fielding any punts this season basically as everyone will punt it out of bounds. stil im leaning towards doing this trade. what do u guys think?


ohh and i could give up garcia or b leftwich...which one should i hold on to?

Heads up--Draft is tomorrow. Will anybody show? Turnout was 8/8 for the other league I joined on GAF...I don't know if 16/16 is as likely(and of those 16, how many will stay until we're drafting guys like Justin Fargas?)

Draft is up, order is set...I'm right in the middle again. Two GA FFL drafts, two drafts where I am smack dab in the middle of the order. Of course, this one has twice as many teams as the last one...

Anyway. Here's the last reminder. 25 minutes and the draft begins.

I think I'd actually prefer your spot in a league this big. You get two good RBs instead of a great one and a horrible one, in theory. Then again, with the talent pool so diluted, the player who drafts LT or Priest may have the upper hand on everybody no matter who the other starting back is.

Yeah....no, it's not.

The FAP Dynasty's draft consisted of four wide receivers in the first four rounds, including Anqaun Boldin in the second. And your four running backs are Deshaun Foster, Julius Jones, Ron Dayne(Yep, that Ron Dayne), and Anthony Thomas. I suppose if crushing injuries occur on four different teams, that's a pretty solid lineup :p

Could have been worse. TEH ROFLCOPTERS drafted Quentin Griffen at 9th overall, and then later drafted Correll Buckhalter as a second RB.

That's what you people get for skipping on the draft.

Apparently he had Griffen ranked 9th in his custom queue. Either that or he was there and just decided not to speak up after we all broke out in laughter at that pick :p

It works out well for everybody. You got some action, and the five of us who were actually in the draft room got to have a good laugh every time your turn came up and Yahoo took yet another wideout for your team. Good times for all.

Actually, I'd say looking at it now Cubsfan got the best team, and he wasn't even there. Tomlinson, Horn, Favre, Burress, and Gonzalez are probably a better core group than anybody else has. Granted, the rest of the lineup is lacking a bit (Three backup RBs, thin at wideout beyond those two starters), but to wind up with those 5 players in a 16 team league is pretty impressive.

edit: I mean...uh...my team is the greatest! Phear the WR rooks!
