1. Pull the lever, and the trolley will kill one person.

2. Don't do anything, and the trolley will kill 5 people.

3. Don't pull the lever, then jump on the track. The trolley will kill you along with 5 people. However, you won't be alive to experience the psychological torment that might have resulted from your decision.

Plot twist: I'm nowhere near the lever or trolley because I'm either WFH or playing on my computer like a PC obsessed alpha male. The one dude lives, and the others perish. Rightfully so, as the only destiny I play with is Destiny 2.

Not my business to decide who lives and who dies. For all I know, the track worker could be a hard-working husband and father, well on his way to doing great things, while the 5 others are Twitch streamers.

4. I convince 5 more people to stand next to them to see if the trolley will kill all of them or stop after enough people have been hit. How many pillows does it take to stop a bullet you know?

The picture is broken but I would most likely just kill the one person. Unless of course it was a child then the 5 people die.

I have kids, there is no way I would ever willingly die and leave them.

Pull the lever and do my best to untie the one person.

That might sound like cheating, but you’re still getting an accurate read on my personality type. Even when there seems to be no options left, try to create one. You never know.

Probably the best answer in the thread

I can see that image just fine. I wish everything here that isn't video was required to be shared via the onsite image uploading features.

If you don't intervene, you are not responsible for any deaths, the rail company is. Unless you work for the rail company, in which case , ask your union. Maybe more health & safety training is required before you can be considered competent for such a complex decision.

Depends on the situation.
Normal everyday I’d not touch the lever due to being implicated in killing somebody.
If it was a Saw like scenario where I had to choose I’d maybe pull it to save more people however then I could be tricked as I took lives.

iam a rational and logical person. I dont want to die but i dont want 5 people to die.

So with my answer here... i already pulled the lever and save 5 or 4 people assuming one of the 5 dies

There is no reward in stepping back... just that you die and kill 5 others. Its like "I will sucide now... and take 5 other people with me". If i would save the other 5 maybe i would choose a heroic death.

And i have a great mental stability. It wouldnt affect me that much knowing that i saved other people.

Pull the lever, then find the people responsible for forcing me and the others into that situation, and exact vigilante justice onto them.
