Just to speed it up and not have to wait a week for a game to finish, I'm thinking a 2 or 3 day deadline for each round. Unplayed games will be decided with a coin flip. Thoughts?

I wouldn't mind people using different teams, or picking whatever team to play with. Heck people can even use the same teams against each other. :lol A Rams vs. Rams final would be epic!

Agree with the deadline too, provided people can play after 9 EST I can play pretty much anytime during the week and on weekends I'm flexible during the day.

You could try to do random teams -- that would be kind of interesting.

Yup. If we do go with random teams (which it looks like we will!), I'll use the list in the OP to assign teams, then generate a random bracket after.

Would it be totally crazy to do a best-of-3 format? Single-game final. I know the one bummer about tournaments is you only get one crack and it's done if you lose. Just throwing it out there.

edit: could give people 4 days to complete, that way if they do two and it's down to a third they can play that the following night or nights if they want. tension!
