Such amazing image quality, such amazing performance. Wow smh. I think it's time certain users need get thread creation privileges revoked. Digital foundry backtracks? Offering a nuanced take is backtracking? Lmao

They would probably not need to backtrack if they had direct footage. Still, this is a triumph of years of CDPR work on Cyberpunk 2077.

20ish fps in docked mode. Forget that quality while playing in portable mode.

Still kinda impressive, though. Especially because it opens the console space to DLSS.

Let's hope next-gen gets something similar (or even a team green console? lol).

Series S has a higher base res and so far less artifacts. The pop in/draw distance on Switch also seems bad but I'm not sure what it's like on XSS. All I know is that it's a lot better on PS5 than that vid.
Series S uses FSR 2 which have worse artifacts than DLSS… like i said i think both games are going to have similar results, due to Series S having better input resolution and Switch 2 using DLSS.

Aw man, I knew I wasn't going crazy about that Aceshigh guy, some alts really remind me if him 😁

Also : where's Riky been ?

Honestly, I'd put money on them all still being about, especially those with the more distinctive writing styles. It's especially obvious when they create new accounts and after a dozen or so posts the act fades away as they fail to keep their cool.

OH NO, a 1 pound 30 watts handheld with a screen, controllers, battery and speakers doesn't run like a 6 pounds 200 watts standalone console… What a shame. 😂 It should looks and run exactly the same… And then we are the ones with unrealistic expectations…

I know it hurts lmao. After all the work you and Gigabowser have been putting in, it gets undone by 2 simple images. It doesn't even run it better than the ROG ally or any other pc handheld with the AMD z1 extreme which can run at 60fps as opposed to 30fps with drops to 20fps. $699 CAD for 20 fps in 2025, such amazing performance and image quality smh. Much wow....

As you may know I'm no Series S fan, I absolutely hate that machine but if we're being honest it doesn't have as many artifacts even with an FSR upscaler because in the quality mode that's 30fps like switch its base resolution is 1080p upscaled to 1440p whereas on switch it's a lower res being upscaled to 1080p. It may have a less soft image due to FSR though. When Tom mentions specular artifacts I can see the flickering specular on switch 2 on the ground. The same type that some lambasted PSSR for. Maybe they mixed up the two feeds? Even with the Gigabowser Switch 2 hyperbole in this thread my eyes aren't lying to me. The artifacts are far worse on Switch 2.

STEEMDECK SERIES S EPERINCE ahahahooh

The switch 2 image is sharp but the pop in is rough at spots specially when driving; you have light source pop-in, texture pop-in, lod pop-in, geometry pop-in, shadow pop-in, and npc pop-in all while hitting low 20 fps occasionally. That's some steam deck level of performance type shit but at least it looks nice overall, certainly above ps4. Series S has higher npc density, higher litter object density, more emissive light sources, better shadows, better shadow draw distance, much smoother lod transitions. Surprisingly enough texture quality seems comparable bewteen the 2. This video didn't delve too much into the performance of the series S quality mode but if one cared to see how it fares there is a good video by The Xbox Tester where it shows it mantains 30ps consistently even while driving. The fact that both versions manage to do a decent enough job maintaining acceptable fidelty and performance is impressive on its own merit, one is the size of a little e-reader and the other a tissue box.

The Nintendo Cucks are hilarous. "It' better than last generation" Whoopty doo. Welcome to 5 years ago. I have been playing at much higher fidelity for years now. Good luck with your overpriced Toy that wants to ass-poke you in price on every chance they get.

Almost guaranteed docked. Some fans are high on the copium and thinks it's better than it is. I think a ps4 docked is good for it's form factor and thermals.

Some decent games yeah, I'll probably emulate them at some point like last time 👍
Might be a while, the new chip leverages some pretty advanced Nvidia and ARM encryption. The only reason Switch emulation happened so easily is because of a flaw in the Tegra X1. But this is Nintendo, fucking up on security in hardware is not new to them.

Even if a security oopsie happens, emulation on hardware like this will still take a very long time.

cyberpunk street fighter yakuza armazing port nobody care about crud hogwart lazy devs use switch 1 port
But Yakuza is an exact match for the PS4 as well? Both PS4 and Switch 2 are 1080/60? Street Fighter is also 1080p and lacks things like SSR, some dynamic features, and muscle deformation (although DLSS does clean up the image quite nicely). So both of those are pretty similar to the PS4 versions are they not?

It's already been confirmed that the cutscenes on the actual Switch 2 hardware and not the promo material is 1080p and not 4K (or are you going to trust the marketing material like you trusted the marketing material that said Hogwarts is 1440p?). As for Street Fighter, it does indeed look sharper thanks to DLSS, but then again is missing all the other features that I mentioned. So it's basically a sharper version of the game on PS4 isn't it?

Ok, so you only believe them when they say nice things. Man the next few weeks are going to be wild when it comes out they were right about the end pixel counts. Probably won't hear much from you then.

they say ps4 experince buuuut games will bee way better

game over holders the L my friends
But for a few titles, it offers something similar to the PS4. Like Hogwarts or Yakuza.

They have also pointed out, weeks ago, that these are only launch titles and that later games will be more impressive. Curious how nobody here mentions all the positive stuff they have said about the Switch 2.
