3DS Streetpass Experiences

I would have loved a series of mini puzzles, without pink pieces and easier to complete, based on Nintendo Land attractions.
And once completed, your Mii take place in the scene.
 
Well at least that will mean my coins have a higher chance of being new pieces. So glad I finally got that last Mario Kart piece since that puzzles was becoming a coin drain.
 
Man, I'll never get these pink pieces done. Looks like I'll have to actually go to anime conventions now... great.
 
Just got it.
Really strange title choice.
I expected the next puzzle to be Paper Mario, Layton or the Wii U....
 
Ah, well, at least this give me another shot to get that one really crazy accomplishment:

Got three identical Puzzle Swap pieces in a row with ([-]) Play Coins.

...what are the odds of getting three identical piece in a row? Not... not that good, I'd wager?

Hmm, I got that Accomplishment within the first two or three times I spent Coins on puzzle pieces. I imagine having only one active panel raises the odds quite a bit.


Anyway, yeah, like most I was expecting Paper Mario.

It doesn't need to be the same piece three times, just any three pieces that's already filled.

Me too. And after streetpassing with my PAL machine I found out the JPN 3DS was able to pick up the Kirby Wii puzzle piece aswell. Animal Crossing puzzle however is unsurprisingly restricted to Japanese units for now.
 
New puzzle is lame :(
At least it's something.
Wish they'd patch-in more mii games that use coins (oh, and bump the coin cap cause 300 is very easy to hit grrr)
 
Take your 3DS with you everywhere, you never know when you'll get a tag.

Tonight, I got one at a very fancy wine and cheese bar. I definitely did not expect that.
 
Quick question about Find Mii II. To start the Secret Quest do I have to get all the hats from the normal quest first, or can I start it right after beating the normal quest? I just finished it for the first time and my options are "Continue!" or "No!" and I'm not really sure what that means since I already beat it.

Just beat Normal Quest once to unlock Secret Quest.

How do I start it though? My only options are "Watch Ending" and "Continue Quest," which just prompts me to start over and doesn't mention anything about Secret Quest. Is it automatically started without saying?

Edit: N/M I found it. That wasn't quite how I was expecting it to work.
 
Sooooo close to unlocking Find Mii II...has only taken 20 months. But eh, slow and steady wins the race, right?

Also have my first multiple hits from a Mii. Happens every time I go to the local farmers market, so he must be a regular or a vendor. Another reason to buy local!
 
My 3ds is being shipped, and I wonder if I'll ever get any streetpass because I live in a rural area in the middle of France void of any technology whatsoever (and no young people, so no 3ds owner either), as the first "city" is one-hour drive away from here.

I'll have to take it with me everytime I'm going out.

Anyone in the same situation got any good event to share living in remote farmland ?
 
Is there a reason I get so many StreetPasses from people from Anguilla? Like, got one at Disneyland, one at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, and now one at Target tonight. I find it hard to believe I'm passing so many people from Anguilla. It's the country I've gotten the third most StreetPasses from now (behind the US and Japan).

I mean the first two places make some sense since people from all over the world visit. But Target? I dunno, I just find it weird.

Because it's the first country on the list. You're StreetPassing lazy people who don't care enough to set their region, not people who are actually from Anguilla.

Also, the one from Target was most likely the store demo. Yup, even Nintendo reps get lazy at setting up the demo systems, apparently. I've seen quite a few that are set to Anguilla.
 
Did the Vial of Valor method with a Level 7 and a Level 4 Mii to beat Secret Quest for the first time. Got the Golden Key at the end, but no Bronze Key! D:

EDIT: Nvm, I need the silver key, which is elsewhere. Goddamnit!
 
was wifi on? were you both setup for streetpassing (you gotta do that tutorial thing first), etc?

Oh yes, we've been streetpassing ever since we got on 3DS, we've got 98 passes together, i checked everything, our 3DS were on home screen, nothing running in background, switched wifi on and off a few times, restarted 3DS, Hadn't previously tagged each other in a while.

I though there was some glitch mentioned in this thread where if you overcharged your 3DS, it would prevent StreetPasses for a while? May be wrong on the details here.
 
Just got back from Nishicon (smallish Dutch anime convention) and streetpassed about 60 people (and lots of doubles), but I only found a single pink piece of the new puzzle. This is going to be a hard one.

i ran into stuff like this when i got my XL...theoretically i dont even see how it can overcharge, but i just switched my mii's hat & shirt for a bit and everything was okay. you try that yet enzo?

Nah I didn't have that problem myself, I was just mentioning that for Insaniac's sake.

I thought I did at a point though, but everything returned to normal without me doing anything so I just chalked it up to me being unlucky with StreetPasses at the time. But good to know there's a potential solution.
 
I just recently picked up a 3DS XL after finally being able to make it to the city centre (in Sheffield) post-surgery (I'll be on crutches until the new year, and a walking stick for a long time... well probably forever).

Anyway....

Loving the redesign far more than the original 3DS which I got rid of.

I am having no luck with Streetpass thus far... haven't even passed anyone else with one yet. I am hoping that I will have more luck over the Christmas period than I have been the last two weeks. But knowing my luck I will have to wait until any expo's/UK gaming events next year.

Still... I can't wait to be Streetpassing again, I missed all this stuff.
 
Went to the Wii U Tour at the Westfield Stratford shopping mall last week (the mall next to the Olympic Park in London, UK) - got 8 streetpasses. Being Nintendo demo units, they had plenty of pink puzzle pieces, and I ended up completing the Kirby 20th Anniversary puzzle. OK, it wasn't the new Kirby puzzle, but I'll take what I can get.
 
I was at Pacific Media Expo and got 250 streetpass tags.

So let me be clear here, there is a limit of getting 10 tags and then you have to go to the plaza to clear it or is 10 the max for the games but the 3DS still gets tags?

I had no idea of this limitation, and being aware of it is a good thing since Anime Los Angeles is coming up in Jan and will have an insane amount of 3DS's.

Each game/app has its own Streetpass tag limits. The plaza is the one with the 10 tag limit and games can have lower limits than that (Super Mario 3D Land has a limit of 3) or higher than that (I think Sonic Generations has a limit of 99 or some other high number that no-one will ever reach).

That number is feasible or doable in an anime convention.

They should expand it since I probably missed many streetpasses while leaving my 3DS on for several hours in a photoshoot. Hopefully a firmware update can give us an option to use our memory cards to expand the plaza slots or something :D

I was one if the Cosplay photographers at con, my greeting was the silly "White Lens! >_<" since I was one of the few Canon photographers with a great white lens.
 
Just to see how long it takes, I waited until I got 99 people for the music app. It took about 5 minutes to load streetpass iirc.
