Des the 3ds disables the streetpass while on DS mode ?
There was a guy on the buss with me for at least 10 minutes playing a red 3DS and ... no streetpass =(
After 10+ flower types in Flower Town I think I can definitively say Mr. Mendel is my least favorite Nintendo character of recent memory, and maybe of all time. Stop following me into my shed and just let me garden in peace, I fucking get it already. Don't you have your own plants to deal with anyway?
Whats most annoying are the things he does not repeat. The only way to see the seed preview of something planted is before you start watering plants that session. If you need to investigate it a lot (say you've got two very similar looking ones and want to know if its worth bothering to water it or sell it off) you have to swap it out then swap it back...Yeah, how his re-explanations escaped QA will forever remain a great mystery.

There is also plant pals. After a certain event he won't go "oh I wonder if your plant pals are here". I can't remember my entire plaza and who is over level 1 (and therefore a plant pal) so I end up wasting plant pals on watering when they could have helped me get seeds.
According to this Japanese wiki I think it say they are advisory and seed shapes can override them (online translators kind of give you half truths though). So tap R and look at the shapes. Also, are the percentages bullshit?
It also says that rarely you get Miis visiting with non-blooming flowers which means you don't get seeds from them.
I went to a convention a month ago with a friend and she was annoyed that so many people brought their 3DS out at random. I explained to her why and she seriously did not have a clue about any of this stuff despite owning a 3DS for two years now.I am constantly surprised by how many people who own a 3ds and don't have street pass function activated. There are several people where I work who have one and only one of them had street pass activated.

Honestly I'm surprised by people that do have Streetpass enabled.I am constantly surprised by how many people who own a 3ds and don't have street pass function activated. There are several people where I work who have one and only one of them had street pass activated.
That's pretty funny.I need to remember to start killing my JP 3DS's wireless whenever I pass by a relay point. As usual, it grabbed every relay first, leaving my NA 3DS to high five my JP Mii five times in a row. Going to start just leaving the JP 3DS at home when I don't need the play coins from carrying it around anymore.
So, I haven't carried my 3DS with me in a little over a Month. Yesterday, I'm working on the trash at my job and, this Mother comes up to me and, asks if I had my DS on me. I tell her no. She tells me that I'm the only reason her Daughter comes to the Target I work at. I guess I should start carrying it again.

Is there a way to get actual maps for all of the regions that don't show up in my plaza?
(Yes, been using homepass, hoping I won't be treated like a filthy cheater in here...)
My most reliable relay point (Pizza hut) I can walk past (or rather back and forth). The others seem to be flaky even if you stand around. If my schedule allows it that is still 2 easy tags a day.It really does help if you stop and wait next to potential relays rather than just walk past them.
Oh god, I met a woman who works in a bar through streetpass and i'm meeting her for lunch tomorrow.
This is weird. Took 6 passes.
My mother regularly goes by the three local relay points here, but only seems to get a hit every couple weeks. Occasionally when I'm with her and we go by I'll get a relay pass with her Mii and the game-specific data from other people for games I don't own.
Guess there just aren't many people using them in our rural area. I wish the relay points worked internationally so us rural people wouldn't still be pretty screwed.
So far #StreetpassDay seems exactly like every other day. Maybe even a little quieter.
