5 Things Donald Trump Attacked Hillary Clinton Over—But Is Currently Doing Himself

1. Ties to Wall Street.
Then: “I know the guys at Goldman Sachs. They have total, total control over [Ted Cruz]. Just like they have total control over Hillary Clinton,” Trump spouted during the campaign. He went on to slam Clinton for giving paid speeches to Wall Street banks, saying they “owned her.”

Now: Fast-forward to the present, and Steve Bannon, a 17-year Goldman Sachs veteran, may be the one with total control over the president: He’s seated in an office next to the Oval, has unprecedented access to the Principals Committee of the National Security Council (a committee of the government’s officials who make the country’s most important foreign policy decisions), and the title of #PresidentBannon. Additionally, Steve Mnuchin, Trump’s Treasury secretary nominee, is a former Goldman partner; Wilbur Ross, a Wall Street billionaire, is in line for commerce secretary; and hedge fund manager Anthony Scaramucci was a member of the Trump transition team. A veritable picture of the working class!
2.The use of private email.
Then: There was no more consuming line of criticism against Clinton than the use of her private email server: “It’s a disgrace, and honestly, you ought to be ashamed,” Trump said, blasting Clinton during the second presidential debate.

Now: Five days after taking office, Trump was still using his “unsecured Android phone” and, according to recent reports, Trump’s senior staff including counselor Kellyanne Conway, senior advisor and first son-in-law Jared Kushner, Spicer, and Bannon had active private emails under the Republican National Committee server as of one week ago. Pot, meet kettle.
3. Conflicts of interest.
Then: Trump made much ado of the Clinton Foundation allegedly accepting donations in exchange for access to Secretary Clinton and her State Department.

Now: Since then, Trump’s own conflicts of interest have made attacks against the Clinton Foundation (a charity that combats global AIDS and has a higher rating than the American Red Cross) feel quaint: The president has failed to place his real estate empire in a blind trust—instead, it’s being run by his sons, Eric and Donald, Jr., who could very easily share valuable business information with the leader of the free world that could make him an even richer man. Unsavory? Indeed. But it’s also a potential violation of the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause, which prohibits U.S. officials from profiting from elected office, and, technically, is an impeachable offense. (Shouldn’t this be where the chanting of lock him up, lock him up starts?)
4. Endangering servicepeople overseas.
Then: One word (innumerable hearings and questioning): Benghazi. Clinton was almost single-handedly maligned for lapses in security that ultimately led to the 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, which claimed the lives of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others. (While she ultimately took responsibility as secretary of state, there was little precedent for the level of blame she incurred; officials like former Secretary of State Colin Powell acknowledged that while she shared responsibility with the intelligence community and other agencies, the multiple investigations into Clinton were a “stupid witch hunt.” Which is not to be confused with a “stupid witch,” which is also probably something Trump called her.)

Now: Meanwhile, within the first 12 days of Trump’s presidency, questions swirl about the first Trump-ordered military attack against al-Qaeda in Yemen, which killed Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens and an 8-year-old civilian girl, among others: According to Reuters, U.S. military officials said that the operation was approved without sufficient intelligence, ground support, or adequate backup operations.
5. Sickness and health.
Then: When Clinton came down with pneumonia during the rigors of campaigning, Trump pounced: saying she suffered from “low energy” and “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on ISIS, and all the many adversaries we face.” (This from a not-exactly svelte guy most often pictured digging into a bucket of KFC, but anyhoo.)

Now: A fortnight into the Trump era, his aides are explaining his hotheaded call with the Australian prime minister by saying he was “fatigued” because it was the “end of a long day.” To clarify, it was 5:00 p.m. Mr. President, where ever is your stamina?

Trump is the king of projection. If he ever attacks anyone for something, it's almost a lock that he is guilty of whatever that thing is by a factor of 10.

Wait till he starts yelling about treason.

Wait, didn't he call Manning a traitor?

And yet still... the goose stepping continues from the far right.

I don't get it. We must all be paid dissenters and rationalists.

What position was given to Bannon to be called 'president'?. Wasn't him a senior advisor or something like that?

His team jumped on the emails and Benghazi and wrapped it up into a little "she should be in jail" story. The effectiveness was really something. They saw a little blood and made a massive gash.

If Trump ever accuses anyone of doing something bad, he's probably doing it himself. Dude deserves to be in a high school classroom, he's such a good projector.

I will never ever understand how people fell for this. Guy who owns big towers with his name and plasters gold in every of his possessions is not gonna favor rich people, and is actually going to look after poor people.

It. Blows. My. Fucking. Mind

They absolutely do not. Every single one of these things were simply hunks of dog shit to rub liberal's faces in, they never cared about any of them.

I'm convinced that the best way to make them upset is messages of love, compassion, and inclusivity. Women's march, airport protests, Super Bowl ads, etc.

You have people who fell hook line and sinker for that shit, either out of desperation, racism, or usually both. Then you have people that would literally vote for Satan if he had an (R) next to his name. The two of those groups are what got Donald elected.

Its been painfully obvious for quite some time that no Democratic candidate could have gotten away with even 5% as much bullshit as Trump has, both in the campaign, and in this how-can-two-weeks-feel-like-forever global car wreck of a presidency.

Hypocrisy is no longer a word with any meaning in American politics. Trump's followers are full on Kool-aid drinkers, and have decided that nothing matters save Trump following through on some manner of his promises, with everything and anything else being justified in the process.

We KNOW this.

The world KNOWS this.

The only thing that will sink in to his true believers and eventually sink Trump himself is when the Breitbarts and conserva-conspiratorial radio hosts and Fox News say so. Nothing short of that is allowed in to their ever narrowing reality tunnels.

I like how they hammered Benghazi being botched but days into his Presidency he botched a Yemen raid that killed a Seal Team 6 member, wounded others, and got many civilians killed. Draining the swamp meant stacking government with billionaires and wall street officials. Rolling back reforms enacted after Americans and wall street cratered the world economy. This guy pulled the wool over the eyes of the alt right, hopefully they see it soon. I just laugh when these swastika drawing anti-semites who voted for him realize they elected the most Pro-Israel and Pro-Jewish government in US history.

I just really needed to quote this part.

Seeing Trump, conservatives, and the media go after the Clinton Foundation was really the point last year that made me feel the lowest about this country.

The bitch was literally trying to stop people from dieing. What an asshole. What a terrible cause.

I now have no choice but to vote for this man who set up a fake university with the sole intent of stealinglife savings from.desperate people!

Netter of two evils and such.

Also, none of this actually mattered to Trump voters. Almost everything was pretense for a hatred of Hillary that was already baked in. And for the undecided voter, it was Bannon's plan to make the election so grotesque near the end that voters who might lean Clinton would just throw their hands up and think there was no difference between these two candidates.

It worked, and we'll be living with the scars of our collective mistake for the rest of our lives.

You will never nail Trumpettes on hypocrisy. They don't give a shit.

He will overturn Roe vs. Wade
He will repeal Obamacare
He willl deport Mexicans and Moose-lambs
He has an (R) next to his name.

Single issue voters. Nothing else matters.
