Yo, fuck the Briles family. Jesus.

Is any of this death penalty level? Because I know Death Penalty can only be done if the football program fucked around.

Nuke that shit from orbit.

Part of this is that they probably feel untouchable, and for all intents and purposes at the moment in that environment and culture they are.

This is disgusting and anyone who disagree's should go try to tell that to the parents of the victims and how they now have to live the rest of their life with the trauma, and how the person who did it basically got away scot free because of "sports"

Disgusting.

NCAA needs to come down hard on this shit, otherwise it's a free-for-all.

They ain't gonna do shit, are they?

Nope. I mean a bunch of kids were raped and another school had fraud academic classes for years.

Nothing.

NCAA punish a "good Christian school?" hah

Don't get me started on the Carolina bullshit. Literally an entire department devoted to keeping players eligible and nothing fucking happens. At least the accreditation board took it seriously.

Baylor means nothing to the NCAA, unlike Penn State and UNC.

There's a greater chance of punishment here because of that.

So yeah, NCAA better start remember a death penalty exists or they're gonna find themselves no longer in control of college football very shortly.

Has any college sports program got the death penalty since SMU?

Don't think so.

If these allegations are true (and do remember that an independent report was conducted by the administration by an outside law firm), then the death penalty is in order.

Sure is a shame nobody bothered to write that report down. We can probably just take Ken Starr's word on it for what the report said though.

Back into the dumpster where you fucking belong, Baylor. Disgusting.

SMU got the death penalty for paying players cash and cars to play.

Sounds like Baylor has given a rape victim a scholarship in exchange for silence. That is several magnitudes worse on the moral scale.

Your move NCAA.

The NCAA is the least of the programs worries.

The fed is going to destroy them for those title IX violations. Those are taken VERY seriously.

If they have a football program in five years I'd be stunned. The federal govt will blow it all up.

nope

Penn State even got all their official wins back and the bowl ban lifted

I still can't get over the fact that the NCAA bought their argument, which essentially boiled down to it did not give us a competitive advantage on the football field. smh

You mean, the current federal government under the orange turd.

NCAA didn't buy their argument. A court ruled that the NCAA didn't have the power to punish them to that extent, after pedo U sued them.

The NCAA is a corrupt, horrible organization. But they had no choice in the fighting pedos case

Bingo.

PSU and this are different situations.

This has Title IX implications which is much powerful than the NCAA.

What happened with PSU is that well, what PSU did was so horrible that it was inconceivable to most most organizations, so they had nothing forbidding it.

Unfortunately, sexual assault against women in college happens too frequently so such rules are in place.

Wow after reading the article all I can say is what a disgusting school program. Shut it down. Both Baylor and Penn state don't deserve to participate in Football. I know that won't happen but I truly hope they will consistently be disregarded from championship consideration regardless of their teams performance.

it's college football, so probably nothing will happen?

someone (please) tell me otherwise
They'll probably get severe penalties that will be walked back in a couple of years ala Penn State.

Then again Baylor isn't as valuable as Penn State so they actually might get hammered hard.

The Court ruling was in regards to the fine and whether or not taxpayer money could be used to pay the NCAA imposed fine. Nothing to do with the NCAA having the power to punish Penn State. They could and should have used the death penalty.

At this rate, I fully expect whatever we're going to call "the fed" right now, to dissolve Title IX, and replace it with Russian Tax Credits.

A local radio show has two mellow, chatty hosts and one of them went FIRE AND BRIMSTONE on Baylor, Starr, and the whole "selling their soul for football glory and money" a few months back as he has a 17yo daughter that is deadset on being a veternarian, and that made it extra personal to him thinking of what could happen to his child if Baylor was a top veternarian program.

I was nodding the whole time.
I would be scared to death of my kid going there.

Real talk what is the NCAA for? The only thing they go hard to the paint for is making sure those kids don't get paid.

This shit is built into the system, and the system needs to be busted down to the white meat. But who cares as long as every one is making money ?

This. I said this in the thread before about this issue, but if they're going to get the death penalty, it'll be because of Title IX and not because of the NCAA.

Fuck 'em.

This is why so many dudes rape. 'Cause we tell em it's OK as long as you can play football in front of old rich white men who went to your school.

Death Penalty for the football program, make sure nobody in charge of the university is still around, fine the school significantly and give the money to the victims.

Fine the NCAA as well, they should have implemented rules that protected the students on campus, instead of focusing on protecting the integrity (and profitability) of college football.

I agree on everything you said. You gotta send a very clear message.
