Best of luck to Stranger Things and especially Westworld. What an incredible first season.

Bestest of luck to Jeffrey Wright.

My rankings of the drama series:

1. Stranger Things - pure fun.
2. The Crown - much smarter version of Downton Abbey, and it's nice to see a prestige streaming drama that cares about individual episodes.
3. The Handmaid's Tale - zeitgeist-y as hell, though I think there are some growing pains in terms of making the book into an ongoing rather than a miniseries.
4. Westworld - not as smart or revelatory as it seems to think it is.

House of Cards sucks. For whatever reason, I fell off watching Better Call Saul after season one, so I can't opine on its current quality; I'm sure it's very good. Never watched This Is Us.

I'll be annoyed if House of Cards wins anything. It's not unwatchable but calling it coasting is being kind. Couldn't they have stuck something better in there for an award.

haven't watched too many of these, but Stranger Things and Big little Lies were awesome, hope they get some Emmys tonight.
Edit: And Silicon Valley of course.

Pretty meh crop this year. Not particularly excited.

Kind of rooting for Handsmaid's Tale and Stranger things though.

I am not a fan of how the Emmys tend to nominate the same couple shows in every category. I think the Oscars do a far better job of spreading around nominations to the worthy.

Colbert nowadays usually does better when he has someone else to bounce off of (when he's not going political) Idk about hosting an award show.

So Colbert isn't very good when he's just alone and discussing non-political topics.

Which is... when?

This is Us is probably gonna sweep.

I was kind of sad to not see more of the cast from Atlanta nominated for stuff. I'm hoping Atlanta takes something home though cause I really enjoyed it.

Other than that, I hope Stranger Things sweeps its categories.

Nah. One of, if not, the best drama series of 2016. Deserves the win.

People here seem to be overvaluing The Night Of, which was kind of a wet fart of a series that had a great pilot and then floundered its way to an unsatisfying end with uneven performances.

Yeah, I didn't care for Naz at all. I would absolutely take a show featuring John Turturro's character and the cases he takes on though

There are a lot of categories that have multiple people/shows I'd like to see win this year so I don't think I'll get too worked up about who wins what. The only thing bothering me here is it's absurd that House of Cards is still making the Outstanding Drama list in 2017. Not a huge fan of The Crown being there either but it's expensive looking and British enough to get people to vote for it.
