True until always on Live. I was watching a movie the other night when I was interrupted with the Xbox telling me that somebody had jumped online. Fucking nuisance.

Well then log out of Live. It only takes the push of a single button....

Turn notifications off then you thick cunt.

Does better than what? 2 5-year-old systems? Two upcoming systems that we don't know much about? The DS?

Ever since Firing Squad did a "head to head" test of Monster Cable with hilariously doctored screenshots I've relegated them to the "we heart money" bin along with Tom's Hardware.

You can turn those alerts off.

QFT

edit - I haven't seen that monster cable review - link me!

That's awesome. :lol :lol

"These are 7 things Xbox 360 is better then everyone else at!" (and by everyone we mean all the previous gen consoles including atari 2600)

"in a chat with several multi-platform developers, it's unanimous that the documentation and tools of the Xbox 360 are exemplary. They've told us that it substantially better than the PS3 and is even better than Nintendo's development tools in some ways. This is an important comment because Nintendo has long been considered the benchmark and because the Xbox 360 is inherently a more complex machine."

Which pictures are you talking about? The FFX, GT3, and DVD pics all look about right to me (not monster cables but the jump up to S-Video in general)
Composite monster cable comparison:
Inferior affordable cable
Mega Monster Cable Difference!

Look here for more bullshit:

There is no possible way that a cable difference could have created a perfect checkerboard pattern on their test shots, even if cables could make that big of a difference. It's crap.

The Monster stuff isn't doctored.

The article feels like someone who bought a 360, isn't really having as much fun as he expects with it. But then comforts himself by explaining why it is so much better than PS2 and DS. Haha.

Oh and about wireless controllers--

Wavebird, yo.

5. WMA/MP3 playback with Online Metadata

Although the original Xbox allowed you to rip WMA files to your CD too, the Xbox 360's always-on connection means that you get the same metadata support as Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 or Windows Media Player 10. Simply put, for the vast majority of music CDs including many esoteric "audiophile label" and "independent label" discs, the Xbox 360 will be able to provide track and artist information. Additionally, the Xbox 360 is one of the few consumer electronics devices capable of handling WMA Lossless playback. Although CD-TEXT support would have been a useful addition, the online database remains a nice feature should you choose to use your Xbox 360 as a media server or prefer to take advantage of the custom soundtrack feature. Although this article is focused on the strengths of the Xbox 360, I should mention that the system won't allow you to configure your WMA bitrate and that it re-encodes stereo music into Dolby Digital.

Actually, Xbox 1 does that A LOT better. XBMC puts 360's media features to shame.

from the article...

Wireless gamepads aren't new – they've been around since the Atari 2600 era, but the Xbox 360 does wireless better than anyone else.

Undisputable.

You keep trying too hard. Haha.

And as of right now, the 360 controller >>> wavebird. The only thing the wavebird has going for it is, battery life. But no rumble, lack of buttons, poor c-stick, cannot turn the console on/off, no recharge function kill all hope of it taking the crown from the 360 controller.

Hooray! The 360 is truly slightly better than consoles that came out 5 years ago!
