Publisher JanduSoft and developer Halberd Studios will release side-scrolling Metroidvania game 9 Years of Shadows for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Q2 2025 for $19.99 / €19.99, the companies announced.

9 Years of Shadows first launched for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on March 27, 2023, followed by Switch on November 9, 2023, and iOS and Android on November 21, 2024.

Why not? It is a game that can run on anything so they simply included all platforms once they made the switch to PS/Xbox. The real question is why did it take 2 years to launch on PS/Xbox in the first place.

It's just weird how a game is still targeting that platform. It would be like if Sonic Mania was released on Xbox 360.

I beat this on my steamdeck last year and enjoyed it. It's a pretty solid metroidvania. Not some roguelike bullshit.
