consider the following
(i + j^2) mod m
where m is a prime number and j = 0,1,2...m
for each i we choose, m/2 numbers wouldn't appear in the result... for example
let's say we choose m = 5
i = 0... 1 4 4 1 0 <--- 2 and 3 didn't appear
i = 1... 2 1 0 2 1 <--- 3 and 4 didn't appear
i can't exactly determine the relationship... any help would be greatly appreciated.
