A live E3 conference would have settle all this back n forth...

With no e3 and no big live event from Sony and Microsoft ,and Nintendo we've been reduced to embarrassing podcast discussion, Twitter fires and court room / share holding meeting "insiders" thread.

Gone are the days where taking shots at your competitors is live and spontaneous

The best thing about E3 was that you got all the news within a week. I hate this drip-feed of news that has replaced it. It actually led to me not watching most of the streams anymore, instead I just go to /r/games or something for the news aggregation.

It was also nice to get actual playable demos on the show floor that were played by the press. Not these perfectly staged gameplay showings by the publishers that are made to look as good as possible.
